Connecting
• In 1997, the well know Clinical Psychologist Dr. Larry Crabb, Ph.D. wrote a book called Connecting. His basic premise is this:
“For most of the 20th century, we have wrongly defined soul wounds as physiological disorders and relegated their treatment to specialist. In reality, every caring person has the ability – already within them – to help.”

The History of Psychotherapy
• In 1895, Sigmund Freud stumbled on the idea of “a talking cure.”
• The idea of “talking” caught on and soon a “talking profession” (Psychotherapy) was born.
• Over the course of time, dozens of psychotherapeutic models emerged, all revealing beneficial results.
