Family Retreat 2014Day #2

The families have arrived, the weather is beautiful and families and volunteers are getting to know each other.

Yesterday was a full day – not that today will won’t be as well. The volunteer team spent the morning continuing their training and the early afternoon prepping for the families to arrive.

Colourful posters and big cheers were ready to greet each one of them. By suppertime, everyone had arrived. It was wonderful! For some, it was about meeting with old friends and, for others, it was figuring out the newness of it all.

A welcome session, cheese and cracker meet and greet, crafts and sundae bar all rounded out the day! We are all looking forward to the wonders that today holds for everyone.
