    Guccio Gucci is a figure who passed away more than 50 years ago, but hisGucci is still one of the hottest in the world. Gucci,the master of splendidleather goods. Gucci is known for its luxury-good designs and is one of thebest known names in prestigious designer tops.

    Guess [The company] was founded by the four Marciano brothers:Maurice, Georges, Armand, and Paul. The Marcianos were commonlybelieved to have grown up in southern France, getting influenced mostly bythe regions style and culture. In 1977 the brothers moved to California, andit was in 1981 when the Guess Company was founded. Guess is a widely

    popular clothing line not only in its home country of United States but alsoall over the world. The label is also known for its stylish accessories withsome of the most distinctive being their high-end watches. Belts, wallets,and the like are also popular items that are on offer. This is one of the morepopular brands and major players in the modern fashion industry.

    Gianni Versace is one of the Twentieth Centurys most talented designers,unfortunately shot to death in 1997. Many most famous world actors, musicstars and other celebrities wear Versace, because of the style that makes a

    person the center of attention, who always looks exceptionally great,fashionable, stylish, sexy and classy.

    Burberry is a British fashion label whose design is an instantly recognisablebeige tartan colour. The label was created by Thomas Burberry in 1856,and has grown in popularity throughout the years. Burberry designsclothing and fashion accessories, with the latest range being a moretougher leather look, including thigh high boots and leather jackets.

    DKNY [Donna Karan New York] was created by American designer, DonnaKaran and has a sophisticated but fun style. The labels new collectionfeatures in House of Fraser and consists of lots of winter styles, includinggorgeous cardigans and jackets.     Calvin Klein is one of the best known designer brands of the world and all

    this was reached because of his unique style orientated at practical designclothes without exaggerating jewelry and other accessories. He was thefirst designer who created unisex fragrance [CK One] and the first line ofdesigner jeans is also under the label of Calvin Klein.

    Dolce and Gabbana designs

    Coco Chanel. Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, known as Coco, learned to sew at

    a young age, while spending time in a Roman Catholic monastery'sorphanage. At the age of 18 in 1901, she set out from school to work with alocal tailor, in what can only be called an ironic twist to the rags to richesstory of fame and fortune.     Ralph Lauren is another top of the line designer famous for his Polo line.Despite his poor beginnings as a traveling salesman for a necktie maker,he later became famous for his Polo Ralph Lauren line of clothing. Hestarted to sell his line of Polo ties in 1967, but his greatest achievementwas having his designs used in a film in the 1974 film The Great Gatsby,with Robert Redford in the lead role.     Valentino Garavani

    Pierre Cardin, born Pietro Cardin, is an Italian-born French fashion

    designer who was born on 7 July 1922, at San Biagio di

    CallaltanearTreviso.

    Cardin was known for his avant-gardestyle and his Space Agedesigns. He

    prefers geometricshapes and motifs, often ignoring the female form. He

    advanced into unisex fashions, sometimes experimental, and not alwayspractical. He introduced the "bubble dress" in 1954.

    Cardin moved to Paris in 1945. There, he studied architecture and worked

    with Jeanne Paquin after the war. He worked with Elsa Schiaparelli until he

    became head ofChristian Dior's tailleure atelier in 1947, but was denied

    work at Balenciaga.

    Cardin founded his own house in 1950. His career was launched when he

    designed about 30 of the costumes for "the party of the century",

    a masquerade ball at Palazzo Labia in Venice on 3 September 1951,

    hosted by the palazzo's owner, Carlos de Beistegui. He began with haute

    couture in 1953.

    Cardin was the first couturier to turn to Japan as a high fashion market

    when he travelled there in 1959.

    In 1971, Cardin redesigned the Barong Tagalog, a national costume ofthe

    Philippinesby opening the front, removing the cuffs that needed cufflinks,

    flaring the sleeves, and minimizing the embroidery. It was also tapered to

    the body, in contrast with the traditional loose-fitting design; it also had a

    thicker collar with sharp and pointed cuffs. A straight jacketdesign wasfavored by PresidentFerdinand Marcos.

    embroideries and beaded decorations in clear, light, floral colors became aLanvin trademark. When Lanvin died in 1946, ownership of the firm wasnaturally ceded to the designer's daughter, Marguerite di Pietro.

    In 1909, Lanvin joined the Syndicat de la Couture, which marked her formal

    status as a couturire. Lanvin made such beautiful clothes for her daughterthat they began to attract the attention of a number of wealthy people whorequested copies for their own children. Soon, Lanvin was making dressesfor their mothers, and some of the most famous names in Europe wereincluded in the clientele of her new boutiqueon the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor, Paris. She became known for her mother-and-daughter outfits andexquisite robes de style, as well as her modern and global approach to thefashion industry.

    From 1923, the Lanvin empire included a dye factory in Nanterre. In the

    1920s, Lanvin opened shops devoted to home dcor, menswear, furs, andlingerie.
