It has been great to see the students able to get out and play in the playground with their friends in between our week of wet and cold weather. Even with these playground opportunities, the students have done well adapting to the new restrictions on games like soccer and football that they are unable to play currently. Unfortunately, this is contributing to some level of unease as yet another level of stress impacting the students in the current climate. We will be adding more supervision to the playground and Mr Harris will be spending some time in every class over the coming week to talk about general wellbeing and how it can be managed in the playground. Have a great long weekend. 1/2V Artwork

The students in 1/2V have studied the colourful

work by Autralian artist Ken Done. This inspired us to create some impressive paintings of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

6L Class update

6L are happy to be back and settling into

learning!

WHO? We are 6L. There are 28 of us and our

teacher is Ms Lepschy.

WHAT? We learn lots of

things, and we have fun. For

instance, we have been

learning about division and

fractions over the past 2

weeks. Today we made a

tally of all of the different

lollies in a bag and then

expressed them as fractions.

In Science, we have been

looking at adaptations animals

and plants have developed to

live in different environments.

We imagined new animals with

special adaptations for desert

environments.

One of our English activities as been to create

story stones. We had to pick a story and think

about the characters and structure of the story.

Then we had to pay attention to the ways we

could describe them. We have enjoyed

painting them and learnt a lot about how

great we are at art.

We make a difference, every child matters every day.

Please remember

to bring a drink bottle

to school each day.

The bubblers are currently unable to be used.

See if you can figure out which children ’s

story this set is for:

We can’t wait to share our story stones

with our Kinder buddies!

WHERE? We learn in our classroom, use

the playground as our classroom and enjoy

using the specialised STEM room because

we’re future focussed learners, and are

applying our measurements of the school to

create a Minecraft Education scale model of

ABPS.
