One summer morning Eleanor, a retired elementary teacher from Kenmare, ND, was visiting her daughter inWahpeton. She happened to watch the Valley News Live TV interview between Steve Poitras and B-17 pilotDuane Nelson. She wondered if it could possibly be the same Duane Nelson from Kenmare she had taught in
the second grade. In her mind she knew it just had to be. So Eleanor and herdaughter made a special trip to the museum to coordinate an early morning
surprise visit for Eleanor and her former studentWhat a glorious reunion some 60 years later!

Kevin SohlKevin Sohl, former EAA 317 President and volunteer at
the Fargo Air Museum, passed away unexpectedly in May2010. His memorial service was held in the restorationarea among the projects he cherished working on and
often led the charge. The Wright flyer, the Merlin-GT, andthe BT-13 were a few of the aviation projects of which he
gave tirelessly of his time. It was a very rare week whenKevin did not stop in at least a couple of times to workon a project for the EAA, AV and computer systems at
the museum, move an airplane or answer a question fora visitor or volunteers of all ages. Kevins passion was
aviation and he gave unconditionally.
