01Farher’s Day Fat Flush Food Guide

First off, Happy Father’s Day to all you hard working Dads out there! I just want to take a moment to thank you for all that you do! I know it can be tough to manage your daily life, kids, work, and your health as well. I am a Dad myself, I have 2 beautiful children and they are my world! I’ve learned that to be the best father to my kids, I must be healthy and full of energy. After running the largest and most successful bootcamp in Houston, Texas, and helping thousands of people lose weight, I knew I was onto something, and that is when I came up with the Fat Diminisher. My online plan has been a huge success, and I want to share a quick and simple guide with you, as a gift. You can print this out, put it on your wall, even carry in your pocket! I’ve included some recipes as well, but just this information alone will get you on the right track. You have to take charge of your health not only for yourself, but your kids!

Optimal blood pH

too alkaline-14

We make it hard for our body to maintain its pH balance when we eat acid forming foods, and our body will try to bring our blood pH back into balance by releasing alkaline-rich minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and magnesium into our bloodstream. But if we are eating enough alkaline-forming foods each day, then our body has easy access to these minerals from our diet.

If we are not eating enough alkaline-forming foods, then our body has to pull these important minerals from our bones, teeth and organs. This can compromise our immune system, cause fatigue and make us vulnerable to viruses and disease.

Eat a diet of 60-80% alkaline-forming foods and 20-40% acid-forming foods.

For the acid-forming foods, skip the fast-food burgers and processed foods. Instead choose healthier options like beans, grains and other fresh foods. Pesticides tend to be acid-forming, so choose organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible. Experts feel that one important consideration in regard to eating an alkaline diet is to become knowledgeable about what type of soil your produce was grown in — since fruits and vegetables that are grown in organic, mineral-dense soil tend to be more alkalizing. Research shows that the type of soil that plants are grown in can significantly influence their vitamin and mineral content, which means not all “alkaline foods” are created equally.

The ideal pH of soil for the best overall availability of essential nutrients in plants is between 6 and 7. Acidic soils below a pH of 6 may have reduced calcium and magnesium, and soil above a pH of 7 may result in chemically unavailable iron, manganese, copper and zinc. Soil that’s well-rotated, organically sustained and exposed to wildlife/grazing cattle tends to be the healthiest.

If you’re curious to know your pH level before implementing the tips below, you can test your pH by purchasing strips at your local health food store or pharmacy. You can measure your pH with saliva or urine. Your second urination of the morning will give you the best results. You compare the colors on your test strip to a chart that comes with your test strip kit. During the day, the best time to test your pH is one hour before a meal and two hours after a meal. If you test with your saliva, you want to try to stay between 6.8 and 7.2.

Let’s take a look at the foods youshould be eating…

Instructions:1. First, prepare the carrot and courgette ‘noodles’ by

using either a spiralizer or mandolin. If you don’t have either of these, use a vegetable peeler to make slices of the zucchini and carrot and then use a sharp knife to slice these into very thin strips.

2. Put these into a large bowl with the spring onions, shredded cabbage, beansprouts (thoroughly washed), cauliflower and coriander.

3. Now prepare the sauce by blending the tahini, almond butter, tamari, coconut sugar, lime/lemon juice, garlic and grated ginger. Add a little water if needed – this is a very thick sauce.

4. Finally, mix the sauce into the bowl and get everything evenly coated.

5. Serve with a sprig of coriander and an extra little squeeze of lemon or lime.

1. Before cooking, chop the celery into small pieces, and crush cashews so that each cashew is broken into about 4 pieces. Perfection not required, just smash ’em up a little.

2. Next, add a little coconut oil and a little water to a frying pan and sprinkle the oil with the freshly minced onions, minced garlic, and chopped ginger.

3. Pour chopped celery in and steam/fry for about 10 or 15 minutes on medium to high heat.

4. Now add the chopped cashews fry for a further 3 to 4 minutes on low to medium heat. Once it’s all looking awesome, remove from heat and mix the sauce/tahini in evenly with celery and cashews.

A surprising number and variety of physical problems and diseases can be caused by the problem of foods that are acid-producing after digestion. The reason acidosis is so common in our society is mostly due to the typical modern diet. It is important to consume at least 60% alkaline-producing foods in our diet, in order to maintain health. We need plenty of fresh fruits and particularly vegetables (alkaline-producing) to balance our necessary protein intake (acid-producing). And we need to avoid processed, sugary or simple-carbohydrate foods, not only because they are acid-producing but also because they raise blood sugar level too quickly - with high glycemic index, therefore fattening and stressing our insulin response, plus they tend to be nutrient-lacking and may be toxic too.

Acidosis will decrease the body’s ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease the ability to repair damaged cells, ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness. An acidic pH can occur from an acid-forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals. If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a buildup of acids in the cells will occur. Acidosis can cause such problems as:

Cardiovascular Damage Weight Gain, Obesity and Diabetes Bladder Conditions Kidney Stones. Immune

Deficiency Acceleration of Free Radical Damage Hormonal Problems Premature Aging Osteoporosis and Joint Pain Lactic Acid Buildup Slow

Digestion and Elimination Yeast/Fungal Overgrowth Lower Body Temperature Tendency to Get

Infections Loss of Drive, Joy, And Enthusiasm Depressive Tendencies

Pale Complexion Headaches

WHICH FOODS ARE

ACIDIC?

ALKALINITY IS EVERYTHING

One of the best things you can do to correct an overly acid body is to clean up your diet and lifestyle. To maintain your health, your diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. If you need to restore your health, your diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.

MEAT

■ Bacon

■ Beef

■ Clams

■ Corned Beef

■ Lamb

■ Lobster

■ Organ Meats

■ Oyster

■ Pork

■ Rabbit

■ Sausage

Meats are acid forming, with some being more than others. For this reason, we recommend refraining from meats if you are recovering from a severely acidic condition. Even when you’re in a pH balanced state, eat only one or two servings per day and it will be easier to stay in balance.

Dairy Products

■ Butter

■ Cheese

■ Milk

■ Ice cream

■ Egg

Dairy Products are packaged and pasteurized (which more are) are acidifying because the enzymes required for digestion have been destroyed. Raw dairy products are slightly alkalizing.

Fruits (Acid, but Alkaline forming)

While fruits are slightly alkalizing to a person who is already in a balanced state, we suggest refraining from them all together if you are in an acidic state because of their high sugar content. Once you get your pH back up to the desired level, enjoy them in moderation.

■ Currants

■ Cherries, sour

■ Cranberries

■ Grapefruit

■ Muskmelons

■ Honeydew Melon

■ Nectarine

■ Orange

■ Tangerine

■ Lemon

■ Lime

■ Pineapple

Nuts & Seeds

Nuts and Seeds are relatively neutral foods… either slightly alkalizing or slightly acidifying. They are mineral rich, but they also contain proteins which are acidifying when metabolized.

■ Cashews

■ Peanuts

■ Pecans ■ Walnuts

While Sodium is alkaline mineral, too much of it pulls water out of cells into the fluid that surrounds cells. We recommend a low sodium diet in order to maintain proper hydration. Some of these list can get rather dogmatic but keep in mind that you are not going to suddenly become too acidic because you ate a piece of bacon or drank a cup of coffee. Acidification is cumulative process, and it occurs as a result of your lifestyle of eating.

Thank you so much for allowing me to share my journey with you. I hope this helps you, inspires you, and motivates you!

Love, Wes
