FARM'S DESCRIPTION
ATI’s GREEN Farm complements the learning by doing-principled courses conducted by the Center and provides leisure while conducting them. The site is divided in four (4) modules to satisfy various preferences of our diversified clients. It also includes activities like educational tour which offers knowledge and skills on integrated farming and beyond.
GREEN Farm showcases a whole farm management system which manifests and integrates the significant value and relevance of crop production with livestock. The vegetables harvested from the “gulayan” will be for human and animal consumption. Its residues are primary raw material for vermicomposting while its vermi-compost serves as organic fertilizer to plants.
Moreover, animal wastes from pigs and goats are subject to biogas and organic fertilizer productions. All in all, the farm is designed to work together as one unit whose components are mutually benefiting and co-existing with one another.
Specifically, the farm aims to:
• Showcase an agritourism site that integrates production with livestock;
• Educate visitors/guests to go into farming (integrated/natural)
• Encourage visitors/guests to go into farming as a potential source of income; and
• Serve as a venue for visitors/guests to appreciate and enjoy agricultural farming.
MODULES
The module is designed to justify the existence of ITCPH as Pig Husbandry Center. Likewise, it is expected to coincide with the purpose of introducing and equipping visitors on the technology of the pig business. This module would highlight how pig production takes place provided various conditions and considerations.
Participants interested to venture on this business and are looking to solicit ideas on pig husbandry can take this route. The Farm’s Meat Processing laboratory operating for training purposes opens for tourists and serves as starting point where visitors/guests get to be acquainted with how pork is processed. Selected processed pork products are also free-tasted. Next to it, guests/visitors are accompanied by the designated ITCPH Guide to its Feed Mill facility for viewing of machines and discussion of its relevance in any animal husbandry businesses. After which, Artificial Insemination (AI) semen collection at the AI Center is demonstrated to allow them to see its importance in the breeding stage of pig production. Lastly, a tour at the Module II Commercial Unit provides most significant skill and knowledge one has to possess whenever they get into it.

"PIG-ARALAN, PIG-KABUHAYAN" MODULEPHP 100.00 (2 HOURS)
The module manifests livestock production in an organic-agriculture way. Here, visitors/guests are equipped with all the art and technologies, advantages and benefits of organic agriculture and its relevance to sustainability issues.
As it is, visitors/guests who seek to witness organically-grown animals and the related facilities that come along its production must take this route. The Farm’s greenhouse provides shelter to organic vegetables and hydroponic fodders while its Ethno-veterinary Garden cultures herbal plants necessary for the showcase of the traditional but could-be first-aid measure for sick farm animals. Partly, vermicomposting and roof garden facilities are showcased so as to provide visitors/guests a wider view of how extensive this kind of agriculture could possibly be. Native pigs housed and raised organically are part of the route.
To add more fun, guests can pick and pay for fresh vegetables at the roof garden.

"OAMAZING, OASTOUNDING, OASTONISHING" MODULEPHP 100.00 (2 HOURS)PICK N' PAY (VEGETABLES @ ROOF GARDEN)
The module is concerned on the pig counterpart, which is poultry. Having considered poultry as one of the vastly improved industries and is common in Batangas. This route highlights various native poultry breeds and how these are raised organically as well. In this route also, visitors/guests may have significant interaction with the chicken and other poultry animals for they are allowed to feed them.
Considering this, visitors/guests who are into poultry animal production can take this route instantly. Indeed, the Farm’s gazebo where different breeds of chickens are housed like Parawakan, Banaba, and Astrolorp serves as the route’s first drop-off point. Here, mallard ducks, turkeys and guinea fowls are housed apart from chickens. Next in line are the bigger population of black ‘itiks’ which are housed inside the Center’s pig farm.

This module showcases small ruminants like goat. These goats are also grown organically and shown to complement the integrated farming concept. In this route, the visitors/guests are exposed to how both pig and goat farms are maintained and managed apart from the usual technologies, knowledge and skills in managing them.
So, visitors/guests who are geared into goat production may take this route in consideration. In this route is a goat farm which organically raises both meat and dairy types of goats. Significant discussion on the relevance and advantage of this business also forms part of this route.
