How to Prepare the Activity: 1. Copy page 3-9 on cardstock. 2. Laminate if you would like. 3. Cut apart animals on pages 5-9 4. Choose if you’d rather have the students cut and glue animals (page 10-
11) or, write the animals name (page 13) 5. Copy pages 10 and 11 or page 13 on copy paper for students.
How to Do the Activity: 1. Give each child, or pair of children, the sorting boards and color
animals. 2. Have students sort the animals on their boards. 3. When they are finished, give them whichever worksheet you choose. 4. Have the students complete their worksheets to match how they sorted
the animals on their sorting boards. 5. Have students count how many are in each group.
