So far we have looked at farming during the Neolithic period of the Stone Age and farming in the Middle Ages,

Now we are going to move further forwards in history, a bit closer to ‘now’. We are going to zoom past some periods of history, until we reach the next big changes to farming. We are going to skip past the Tudors, when Henry VIII was King.

We are going to skip past the English Civil War years, when a fierce and nasty war broke out between supporters of the Government and supporters of the King –Charles I.

We are going to stop at the Georgians, when King George I came to the throne.

It was during the Georgian period that the Industrial Revolution happened, when King George II was on the throne.This is the period we are going to look at more closely today.

Today’s job is to cut and stick the periods of British history in order, from the Middle Ages to the Industrial Revolution.

Stick the Industrial Revolution with the Georgians, to show it happened DURING the Georgian time period.
