FASHION Design

This pathway will give you the chance to design with

an emphasis on originality, innovation and creativity,

as well as using your vision to promote your work. You

will explore design development, conceptual approaches

to fashion design and the communication of fashion

concepts through computer aided design, digital media

and fashion promotion which will enable you to pursue

fashion roles in fashion design, public relations, styl-

ing , visual merchandising , brand management, promo-

tions and fashion Illustration.

In this pathway you will have the opportunity to ex-

plore creative design as well as use practical skills

to transform two-dimensional design ideas into gar-

ments. You will explore fashion trend inter pretation,

tailoring , creative pattern making , hand crafting , and

develop your CAD, practical computer and making

skills aimed towards the global contemporary fashion

industr y. You will be able to pursue roles in the indus-

tr y as a designer /maker, product developer, designer/

technician, pattern maker, buyer/merchandiser.
