12/13
Recycling wearable waste: This approach aims at using up those
materials in a creative fashion that would have otherwise been
dumped as waste. Thus, prolonging the lifecycle of the waste
material for better use. However, garments made out of such
materials must be wearable. Old tin metals, flex or plastics,
upholstery, Garment industry cutting waste, wood etc. can be use for
making the garment or surface ornamentation.
Make multipurpose convertible Garments: The aim of making such
garments is to reuse the same garments for various purposes by
using intelligent design to change its look every time. This reduces
the necessity for making many garments for many different
occasions.
Reduced Construction: This approach is to reduce the energy
involved in lengthy construction procedures. The garments must be
designed in order to have minimal cutting & sewing operations. This
again needs the use of intelligent & futuristic design skills.
