ProSphere Implementation and Management (MR-1CN-LPSIMPMT) ID EM-MR-1CN-LPSIMPMT Price 3,077.- € (excl. tax) Duration 4 days WHO SHOULD ATTEND Professionals positioning and designing Storage Resource Management solutions, deploying ProSphere, and those responsible for post installation software break/fix. PREREQUISITES To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of ControlCenter, StorageScope, Performance Manager, Solutions Enabler, Navisphere or Unisphere, and object discovery via SMI, WMI, SNMP, or SSH. COURSE OBJECTIVES Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to: - Describe ProSphere and identify its advantages - Compare ProSphere with its predecessor EMC Ionix ControlCenter 6.1 - Explain ProSphere architecture and SAN environment requirements for deployment - Deploy the product, perform initialization checks, and troubleshoot errors - Migrate data from Ionix ControlCenter into ProSphere - Explain performance data collection and view analytics in the ProSphere console - Configure a federated ProSphere environment - Create groups and launch rediscovery - Perform security related tasks - Successfully navigate the ProSphere Unified Help System COURSE CONTENT This course introduces EMC ProSphere, EMC's next-generation Storage Resource Management product. The challenges of managing distributed storage environments are discussed and the benefits of ProSphere are highlighted, drawing comparisons with its predecessor Ionix ControlCenter 6.1. Students will be able to deploy the product, perform initialization checks, and discuss considerations of planning and design. Once the ProSphere vApp is deployed, data center object discovery will be carried out, and performance metrics will be collected and displayed in the product's User Interface. ProSphere's federated deployment is introduced next. Students will be able to see how objects from multiple data center sites are combined into a single UI view. Troubleshooting key aspects of ProSphere is included. Details on ProSphere information security, service monitoring, alerting, application update, and protecting ProSphere data are covered. Page 1/2
