His love for food led him to open a Bistro in Ahmedabad with a seating

capacity of 150 people Subsequently, he opened a bakery & commissary.

In mid-2014, Karan spotted an opportunity in a growing but unorganized

local brand called Kutchi King. He bought in equity in the brand and after

2 years took a successful exit after taking the

brand to over 200 outlets.

With humble experience and undying passion for this business,

Karan founded Yellow Tie Hospitality Management LLP in Dec 2015.

He believes that F & B franchising in India is in its infancy since the

country is yet to have a single sustainable local brand, and he

has sensed an opportunity to change that scenario.

His mantra in life is inspired by his idol Steve Jobs-

After earning his degree of B.E. in Automobile, Karan commenced his profession journey with

General Motors India. Later, he got an opportunity to serve as a consultant with McKinsey and Co.

After 4 years of work experience with Multinational companies, Karan chose to follow his dream

and decided to embark into the Food & Beverages sector.

Karan Tanna was a finalist of Forbes 30 under 30

batch 2016
