TASK 1: ON-GOING BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS/VIDEO FOOTAGE
LOCATION REECE – RIVER
Activity Is the location suitable for production?
Additional comments
Look around the location The river is a suitable place for filming the main part of my film because it’s available for whenever
There is no permission to be asked to film here as it’s an outside location
Sort out equipment to be used for the production
I will be using my Nikon D3100 dslr for the filming as it has a video camera function and it is 14 megapixels so it will achieve good quality shots
Make sure camera is fully charged ready for filming
Check out health and safety issues about filming by the river
The river could be dangerous as my actors and actress may fall into the river
I will make sure I don’t film too close to the river
Lighting I will not be using additional lighting only natural lighting
Refer back to my storyboard Look back at my storyboard so I know what shots to film
Do a sound check Check if there is any background noise which could be a distraction
Filming by the river means there will be natural sounds of the birds and water
Confirm dates and times with models
I have contacted my models. I have used my mobile to contact them
Arrange parking access I don’t need to arrange travel arrangements as we will be walking
Make sure models know what they are doing
Go over with models what they will be doing using my storyboard to help explain
I will prepare my equipment the night before filming. I will do this because I won’t be in a rush in the morning
organising things. Items I will be bringing from home are a guitar for my lead singer to play which I already have at home so that doesn’t need to be arranged. I will also be bringing my own camera so that will need charging over
night ready for filming the next day.
ORGANISATION OF PROPS AND EQUIPMENT
HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT
To use filming using my dslr camera you need to turn it on. Once turned on image one will appear on the screen. You
need to press ‘shoot’. Once you have pressed the ‘shoot’ you need to flick the toggle right which in image 2 which then
changes the camera from camera mode to movie mode. Once changed to movie mode press the red button to start filming
and again to stop filming.
As my music video is mostly going to be filmed outside I have to consider a back up plan in case it rains. If it does rain my back
up plan is to film inside. I was thinking about filming at the café I was planning to film part of my music video anyway. If this
back up plan does happen I will have to acquire permission to film my music video
there.
