Introduction


Introduction• FC Barcelona is a Spanish soccer team that is located in

Catalonia, a province in Spain. Barcelona plays in a league called the La Liga, the top division in Spain. They are very successful team that have won the champions league and the La Liga several >mes. Real Madrid is another spanish soccer team the is very good and rich. They have world record expensive signings like Gareth Bale and Cris>ano Ronaldo.

La Masia


La Masia• La Masia is a soccer school for young players that are

good enough and want to potentially play for Barcelona in the future. This school develops young players academically and athletically. 300 young players attend La Masia all hoping to be on the first team one day. 17 out of the 25 players currently on Barcelona’s first team have came through La Masia. Although La Masia is considered to be the best soccer school in the world, it is very expensive costing the players and their families 5 million dollars.

• The 22 year old Brazilian Neymar Jr got signed to Barcelona recently, for a whopping 50 million eros. Brazilian Legend, Pele quote: "Now everyone is talking about Messi; he is a star. But to be the best ever he must first become better than Neymar."

• Pele is pretty confident of Neymar being best in the world. Neymar is a very good player, but to be a great player, he needs more experience and he has time for that.

• Over the past 3 years FC Barcelona have been doing very well in the Champions League. They won the trophy 2011 and made it to the semi finals in 2012 and 2013.

midfield. He was a very skilled player who scored many nice goals. He won

the ballon d’or in 2005 and helped Barcelona win the UEFA Champions League. He is a great player will

never be forgotten at the club.

Since 1998, Carles Puyol has been a reliable and

skilled centre back. He has helped Barcelona win many trophies. Since 2004, Puyol was a captain, and then co-captain. He is a very strong player when the ball is in

the air as he heads the ball well. Definitely a Barcelona

Samuel Eto was a very good player in his career at Barcelona. Scoring 129 goals in 201 games for

Barcelona, E’to was a threat up front. Samuel Eto has helped Barcelona win 2

champions league titles and 3 La Liga titles.

Johan Cruyff was one of the best players to play the game. His pace and goal

scoring ability was amazing. Although he played well in his career He played long ago in the 1970’s, but he earns a spot as one of Barcelona’s greatest

Xavi Hernandez is the one of the best players in the world today. As Barcelona’s current

captain, Xavi has lead his team to victory many times. He has

great passing skills and has been a finalist for the Fifa Ballon d’or 2 times in a row and has played for Barcelona for 15 years (700 matches) which makes him a

legend.

Andres Iniesta is an amazing soccer player who has played for

FC Barcelona for many years. He, like Xavi has been

nominated for the Fifa ballon d’or 2 times. He is one of the

best players in the world and his dribbling skills are superb. He

has also recently signed a contract, so we will see him at

the club until 2018.
