    The word "journal" has been derived from theFrench word "jour". Jour means day. So journal

    means daily. Transactions are recorded daily injournal and hence it has been named so. It is a bookof original entry to record chronologically (i.e. inorder of date) and in detail the various transactions

    of a trader. It is also known Day Book because itcontains the account of every day's transactions.

    Motivation:Why do we care about the problem and the results? If theproblem isn't obviously "interesting" it might be better to putmotivation first

    Problem statement:Whatproblem are you trying to solve? What is the scope of yourwork? In some cases it is appropriate to put the problemstatement before the motivation, but usually this only works ifmost readers already understand why the problem isimportant.
