Sequence of 3D geological horizons as interpreted from Acoustic Corer™ SAS volume

3D Acoustic Corer™ SAS volume reveals boulders, stratigraphy, and other geohazards to a depth of up to 30 m sub-seabed. Planned pile location is shown within the volume.

Acoustic Corer™ true 3D imagery characterizes the sediment variability through a 12 m diameter volume.

The Acoustic Corer™ delineates sub-seabed stratigraphy and correlates with boreholes, CPTs, and other geotechnicalprofiles to enhance the value of the sub-seabed profile by laterally extending geotechnical data to a 12 m diameter core.

The Acoustic Corer™ can be used in this way to reduce the number of physical cores required.

Boulders intersecting planned location of 1.5m

diameter pile

The planned location of 1.5 m diameter pile intersects cluster of 0.4 – 0.8 m boulders. Client chose to relocate the pile to a clear

area, and avoided pile refusal.
