accredited courses in developing social enterpriseskills in Portsmouth with 20 individualsrepresenting local voluntary, charity andcommunity groups
These represented groups are looking to run theirorganisations in a business like way andbecome self-sustaining less reliant on governmentgrants
Previous learners have formed informal support
networks but want to formalise this with regularnetworking events that bring them in touch withlocal private businesses

We would like to develop the idea of a business
buddies system where organisations and privatebusinesses help, support and resource oneanother
ALPS will facilitate the start of this process byorganising a Networking Social Event on 23 rdJune, which will bring together social enterprises,community organisations and private companiesfor an evening of entertainment and fun, and ofcourse there is an open invitation for all of you tocome and join us.
