The Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard each week on Saturday at the Church (SR #46) from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. The Sacrament of Baptism: Call the parish office to learn the necessary requirements and make an appointment to have your child baptized. The Sacrament of Marriage: Getting married? Congratulations! The process of being married in the Catholic Church could take between 6 months to a year to complete. Please contact Ann Cammarata at the parish office as soon as possible after your engagement if you would like to be married at All Souls Catholic Church. Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office. The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Did you know that the Sacrament may be repeated if the person becomes sick again? A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention. Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: If you are unable to attend Mass, please call the parish office so we may assist you in having a visit from one of our ministers or one of our priests. Catholic Funeral and Burial: Please call the parish office or have the funeral home director contact us to arrange the Funeral Mass and for more information about burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

"Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch." Simon said in reply, "Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets." Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men." When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him. Luke 5:1-11

The words of Jesus reflected the dynamic living faith and stewardship spirit which characterize our support to our Church Mission. The call to trust God goes beyond the compounds of our limitations and means, thus becoming a manifestation of Hope. “Master at Your word I will let down the nets.”

Each year we come to you with Our Catholic Appeal. The ministries supported by our appeal assist us greatly as we are entrusted with the care for All Souls Community. Called to serve you, we are most grateful of your support to our Catholic Appeal. This year we ask for your help again. Should your personal circumstances allow, you may wish to pray about the possibility of a gift or pledge? To make your pledge, please return the OCA envelop or pledge card to All Souls by mail or bring it with you to Mass at All Souls Church. You may also visit our secured website at www.cfocg.org/OCA and make an online pledge.

The 2019 Catholic Appeal video by Bishop Noonan will be presented at all Masses next weekend February 16 and 17. Please be as generous as your means permit.

Have a blessed week! Father David

Lent is right around the corner. What a better way to start the Lenten season than to attend a Family Lenten Fair on March 9, 2019, from 9:00am-12:pm at the All Souls Social Hall. The morning will start with some refreshments and prayer service. Then we will have fun trying to complete puzzles to earn the pieces you need to complete a simple and fun craft project to make a set if Resurrection Eggs. Start a new tradition to teach children the meaning of Easter and the story of Jesus’ resurrection using eggs filled with scripture sayings and surprise items to tell the story. This event is free but we do need you to register so we are sure to have enough kits. To register please contact the church office at 407.322.3795. We also need your help by saving styrofoam egg cartons and Easter Eggs that are solid colors (no printed eggs). Please drop these items off at the church office or at the welcome desk at the church. This is an easy way for the whole parish to support this fun family event! Thank you!

Have you ever felt a compelling urge to respond to a situation and then found yourself questioning whether you should do so? Fear often takes hold of us, and we find ourselves making excuses for why it is better to just mind our own business. There is a voice within each of us that is saying, "Follow me". What does this prompting mean? The purpose of discipleship is not to secure our own station in life and enhance our comfort zone. Discipleship is about taking risks and venturing forth into the unknown, tending to the needs of others and being prophetic voices of change. We will not drink deeply of life until we listen to the voice of God within. When God asks, "Whom shall I send?", will you reply, "Here I am ? send me!"? LPI, Inc.

First Reading: In witnessing the revelation of God's holy presence, Isaiah was deeply troubled by his own sin. Then the Lord freed him from his sin, and he was open to do God's will. How would you describe your spiritual disposition after reconciliation with the Lord? Second Reading: Paul reports to the Corinthians of the many people to whom Jesus revealed himself after he rose from the dead. Paul includes himself on that list, speaking frequently of God's grace. Where do you see God's grace in your life? Gospel Reading: Luke offers us a lot of insights into the personality of Peter with his account of Jesus' call of the first disciples. What do we know about Peter based on this call narrative? LPI, Inc.

"Community is a sign that love is possible ..." -Jean Vanier

The Sanctuary Light at the Church burns this week for Emile “"Pop" Esler, as requested by Marcy & Vince Salas. May he rest in eternal peace.

Have you ever participated in various trust exercises, where you have to place your faith in others around you? Maybe it was falling backwards with your eyes closed while the person's voice speaking to you seemed to drift further away. Maybe it was jumping from a height into people's arms that didn't seem strong enough to catch you. These activities

were supposed to show you the meaning of trust and help grow that trust in you for your comrades. Sometimes it worked. Other times, some prankster would actually let you fall, and then you learned to trust no one. So much for building up our ability to trust. Trust is important, especially in our relationship with Jesus. He calls us all the time and asks for us to trust. However, because of doubt or a desire to follow our own will, we choose to disregard his request. After objecting to Jesus' request to lower his net into the water, Peter was humbled when he caught so much fish that the net began to tear. Peter was a fisherman by trade. Surely he knew what the catch was probably going to be that day. But Jesus asked him to follow his will. Peter wanted to follow his own. Peter realized that his trust from then on should be in the Lord. Do you sometimes think your generosity will bear little fruit? Do you wonder if your surrender to God in stewardship living really amounts to much at all? Trust in Jesus, the one who calls you to this life. His word is truth, and he would never let you fall. -Tracy Earl Welliver, Master of Theological Studies for LPI, Inc.
