Thanks to the PTA for PUPPIES on PD (professional development) day on the 29th!
Naglieri II online testing for 1st graders.
iReady testing finishes the 16th.
Results in 2/28 Wednesday folder
Finalizing SOL testing schedule.
Date will be posted on the website.
Still using DAR for testing.
Q: When do SOL scores come out?
Students are allowed to retake the test so scores aren’t shared until school lets out.
March: Ms. Pierce will present about Escape Boxes.
May: Teachers will be using Surface Pros and share the benefits of using them.
Projectors will be put in the ceilings.
All classrooms have whiteboards.
Security cameras coming soon: playground, outdoor classroom, front door = now a lower
cost!
New trail heading to the townhouses is complete!

Fairfax County SEPTA launched as a 501c3 affiliated with the
National PTA on April 25th 2017. Our SEPTA is a member of
the Fairfax County Council of PTAs (FCCPTA). Fairfax County
SEPTA serves all special education, special needs and disabled
students, their families and educators in Fairfax County.

Presentation by Dr. Kahn 14
Dr. Sajjad Khan, an experienced clinician and researcher, has worked with families,
children, adolescents, and adults since 1995. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s
degrees from the University of Maryland and obtained his PhD in Psychology, with a
concentration in Health Psychology. He completed his doctoral training through a
joint program at Capella University and The Johns Hopkins University and
researched the genetics of spectrum disorders, including ADHD, Anxiety, PANDAS,
and Tourette’s Syndrome. Dr. Khan also completed an advanced training certificate
in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the Florida Institute of Technology. In
addition to being trained in ABA, Dr. Khan is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
Dr. Khan works with clients with a wide range of behavioral, mood, and
developmental conditions, including Autism, and Tourette’s Syndrome/tics, anxiety
(generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder,
trichotillomania, and specific phobias), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD), depression, body dysmorphic disorder, and other somatoform disorders.
