May 2008 February 2011, Edition 4 Dear SuperPro Distributors Another Exciting SuperPro Year! I’d like to extend New Year’s greetings to everyone as we look forward to a prosperous 2011. As seen through most news networks around the world, floods and cyclones have rampaged through Queensland and damaged homes and businesses beyond belief. SuperPro HQ however, was spared by a few metres. During this time I was overseas, while the team at head office had some nervous hours. I had faith in our staff to work through the situation. During December and January, I travelled to the PRI show in Florida, visited Hong Kong for training, and assisted SuperPro Europe in the UK for Auto Sport Show. It was a pleasure to visit Joly Auto in Hong Kong and spend time training both the Joly Auto team and trade customers from China. We used the time learning more about why the SuperPro material formula is superior, and how Fulcrum’s 35 years of experience in suspension has allowed us to develop a leading range of wheel alignment solutions for the repair and performance industry. Thank you Derek and Mr Mak for your hospitality and a very well organised timetable of events in just a few days. The Auto Sport show in Birmingham was again an outstanding success for SuperPro following the success of 2010. Well done to Richard and the SP Europe team for the new stand setup. One of the features of the marketing at the show was the release of the SuperPro UK newsletter. In this document you’ll find details of fantastic endorsements for SuperPro in 2010. Examples include being voted Best DUB Product by Golf+ magazine readers, and an article detailing a test carried out before and after on a Audi TT with amazing results – two seconds quicker. Please go to the website www.superpro.eu.com to read the complete newsletter. Back in my office I’m now working closely with the R&D team to ensure all the new products for 2011 flow into the market. The major project in the pipeline for the first half of the year is the new SuperPro website and marketing campaign to complement it. Happy selling. In early November 2010 Burson Auto Parts, the major Australia SuperPro trade distributor, held a trade evening for the Sydney and surrounding areas customer base. The event was held at Rosehill racecourse and I attended with a SuperPro display featuring important new releases. The star feature of the stand was the new turbo bushing to fit the rear differential to cross member mount on the rear of Falcon BA to FG. The event was attended by approximately one-thousand people representing a large and diverse pool of customers from the automotive aftermarket and transport repair industries. It was very pleasing to spend much of the night discussing the options and reasons for SuperPro designs to enhance a suspension system. The customer base was very complimentary of SuperPro with a common statement being, ‘’great product, fix it once and never comes back.” SuperPro is proud to be a hands-on manufacturer, and having the ability to converse with customers at the very coalface is seen as a major advantage. I also found the event a great opportunity to catch up with the Sydney store management, and I’d like to thank Martin Farrell and the team for the invitation. I am certainly looking forward to the next event SuperPro founder Graham Scudamore Smith

Dear SuperPro Distributors

Another Exciting SuperPro Year!

Happy selling.

Why is SuperPro raw material superior? Here’s a bit of history.

SuperPro raw material is a HIGH PERFORMANCE POLYETHER TDI PREPOLMER.

There are thousands of polyurethane (PU) formulas – and PU is used in countless applications . Not all PU’s though are created equal and the unique qualities of SuperPro Polyurthane Bushings have been carefully formulated to work in automotive suspensions.

SuperPro applications demand resilience, wear resistance, hardness versatility, the ability to maintain shape, along with many more extreme material requirements.

The original polyurethane material was used extensively in the mining industry; this ultimately brings with it the high wear resistance properties required to survive in harsh environments. SuperPro then worked with a team of chemists to formulate and create a material for its own use in the automotive industry. The formula is always evolving and as new developments occur, new stronger and more versatile materials are created.

Once a high performing formula is produced, the material is then subjected to every stress and environment experience possible in the “real world”.

In the beginning the first series of bushings were manufactured in low volume and produced to fit the most demanding vehicle applications, this being four-wheel drive leaf spring shackle bushings.

There have been some notable points in time when a material change was made to cure a specific problem and then has been applied to a whole range as product improvements. These include:

1/ Tuned PU material on early shackle bushings to gain six times the life of rubber in mining applications.

2/ Upgraded formula to combat high soil PH levels and fine grit found in Malaysian jungles, increased life of bushing 3 times compared with old formula.

3/ Changed curative to improve resilience, reduced NVH levels.

4/ Use in Antarctica required a formula change to allow the product to withstand extreme sub zero temperatures.

5/ Tuned formula to soften the formula shock absorber applications and still out last rubber and other brands two to three times in four-wheel drive dampers.

6/ New installation grease produced after successfully curing a bush binding problem in extreme conditions in the Middle East.

The SuperPro motto is ‘Listen to customers, understand demands of the vehicle and continuously improve’ (Inovators Not Imitators)

Facebook is the biggest, fastest growing social media application in the world. It seems that everyone from your daughter to your mum is on it. But what does it mean for SuperPro?

SUPERPRO AT PRI 2010Orlando Florida

The stand was again very popular with a lot of interest shown in the product, and many good leads coming from this very successful show.

Late in 2010 SuperPro visited sunny Orlando, Florida to create and promote a display at the Performance Racing Industry Show. PRI is the largest performance racing trade show in the world with over 39,000 buyers from some 65 countries passing through the doors.

All attendees of the show are pre-qualified to be either owners, managers or employees in the racing industry.

Thousands of professional racing teams, from NASCAR Cup Teams to NHRA Top Fuel, ALMS to Grand Am, Japan to the UK, send buyers to ensure they are current with today’s racing technology.

The SuperPro stand was manned by SuperPro’s Export Manager Ryan Scudamore-Smith and Joe Yaniv from OBT USA for the three day event.

January once again saw the traditional Motorsport season opener – The Autosport International Racing Car show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre in the UK.

With the show in its 21st year, the range of exhibits and events

again exceeded expectations, with noteworthy inclusions being the display of McLaren’s F1, the launch of the Lotus Renault F1 car for the 2011 season, and even the launch of an Australian V8 Series for the UK.

SuperPro Europe exhibited for the fourth time, looking to build on the success of last year’s show by occupying a high profile position next to the display of incomparable Group B Rally Cars from the 1980’s. Once again we were delighted to be joined by SuperPro MD, Graham Scudamore Smith, who despite the rising floodwaters outside SuperPro’s Moorooka base threw himself into the proceedings with his usual commitment and enthusiasm.

The SuperPro stand was busy across all four days of the show with visits from our extensive existing customer base, along with some exciting new customers who were keen to join our programme. Once again the VAG and BMW markets were well represented – in fact we were delighted to reveal

during the show that SuperPro had been voted Number One in the ‘Best Product’ Category of the Magazine ‘Golf +’ reader awards – a fine endorsement of SuperPro’s outstanding performance, quality and value for money

MACAU GP 2010

From November 17 to 20, Macau came to life with the annual Macau Grand Prix hitting its shores.

Through Joly Auto, SuperPro had a total of 12 cars running with SuperPro polyurethane bushings, with six competing in the Hotel Fortuna Cup (N2000 vehicles for local Hong Kong and Macau competitors only), two in CTM

Cup (Super 2000 vehicles for Asian competitors) and one in the Road Sports Challenge.

Trade clients of Joly Auto for both SuperPro and DBA products were given the opportunity to have a garage and paddock “walk-about” where they were able to get up close to the action and have a better appreciation of the Macau Grand Prix.

In the evening, the crash helmet was swapped in favour of the party hat where SuperPro, in conjunction with DBA, held a dinner party to celebrate Billy Lo and Mr. Leong Ian Veng for 2nd overall in the 2010 HTCC N2000 Championship and 2nd overall in the

2010 MTCC Super 2000 series.

Joly Auto will also like to take this opportunity to thank SuperPro for all the support given to us for the 2010 season and we look forward to many top achievements in the future.

Derek Lam (Joly Auto)

It is the beginning of a new year and one of the first shows on the calendar is the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Always a very popular event on the Japanese show calendar, this year was no different.

Vendor display numbers were down overall but the number of vehicles on display was up, with a total of 640 vehicles, 15 more than last year.

Visitor numbers were a big increase with a total of 238,000 people making their way through the doors, this was up 4% on last year.

The Auto Salon brings together many of the largest car and parts manufactures and with

Do-Luck Japan representing SuperPro, the stand was as popular as ever.

Some of the most talked about cars were the Garson DAD Crystal covered Mercedes SL600, the Nissan GT-R RC and the Lexus IS F CCS-R.

All up it was a fantastic show and SuperPro is looking forward to repeated success at next year’s show.

At the end of January 2011, Queensland saw some amazing trential rain not seen for 30+ years. As the rain continued for weeks on end, river systems reached breaking point and eventually overflowed resulting in extensive flooding. Luckily, the SuperPro factory and export area escaped with no damage but as you can see from the pictures, the water came mighty close....
