Hello SHBA members,

Our annual Spring Building & Remodeling Show will be this month and promises to be

another great success. Special thanks to Phillip Comer, Committee Chair, the Associates

Council, Board Members, Sponsors, & Vendors who will make this event possible. Our

Vendors’ Reception on Saturday, Feb. 21st, from 6:00-9:00 in the Marriott Landrum

Boardroom will also be our February General Membership Meeting & everyone is

encouraged to attend to enjoy free food & drinks with our vendors. Also, I hope many of you will participate in our new networking event this year – After-

Hours R&R Networking on the 2nd

Tuesday of every month at Sperry’s Side Door

Lounge @ 5:30. We are encouraging members to bring prospective new members to this –

Reconnect with SHBA members & Recruit new ones! You can drop by for a few minutes

or stay for more than an hour. No reservations are required & everyone will be responsible

for their own food/beverage bill.

Special congratulations to Randy Fannin, a long-time member of SHBA, for his

induction into the Society of Honored Associates at the recent NAHB International

Building Show. He is one of only 3 people in Alabama who have received this

honor! Hope to see you at the Spring Building & Remodeling Show & our February networking

At the recent National Home Builders Building Show, Randy Fannin was a top

finalist for the Associate of the Year award and was inducted into the Society of

Honored Associates. Induction into the Society of Honored Associates is a lifetime

reward intended to distinguish those members who have made invaluable

contributions to the building industry. This prestigious award is given to Associate

members who are chosen as finalists for the Associate of the Year Award. Upon

induction, members have the opportunity to be automatically reconsidered for the

Associate of the Year Award for their first two years following induction.
