Power Camp
Rescheduled for Queens Birthday Long Weekend
Power Camp has been rescheduled for 10th to 12th June 2016.
We have chosen a long weekend so that we can leave on Friday 10th June at
5.30pm and return Sunday 12th June at approximately 5pm. This allows for a rest
day on Monday 13th before everyone goes back to school and work.
The camp will be at Campaspe Downs Kyneton, it is a PGL company run facility that
conduct adventure camps for schools, sporting clubs and other organisation.
We will be taking the players who will be in the age groups of U11’s to U17’s in the
2016 season.
The Junior Committee will be putting funds they raised during the 2015 season to-
wards the camp which will bring down the cost for everyone attending. Details of
the updated costs will be made available soon.
There are a wide range of challenging and fun activities at the camp such as abseil-
ing, archery, flying fox, canoeing, ropes courses and more. This will be a great team
bonding opportunity and help the kids to further develop their confidence and
friendships within the club.
Additional information such as a full list of
activities and general information sheets
are available on the Events section of the
Laurimar Power Website.
Online registration for the camp will
open next week.
If you have any questions please contact
Adam or Joanne Wharton.

On behalf of club members and the LNC Committee I would like to extend my thanks to
Whittlesea Council for the development of the Laurimar Town Park Pavilion. As well as signifi-
cant facilities for Australian Football and Cricket our club has benefited through a storage space
that has allowed us to consolidate all of our club resources into one location.
And through the generosity of Neil Pearson, Jason Scott and Adam Wharton shelving has been
erected in the storeroom to maximise its useful capacity. Special thanks to Neil, Jason and Adam
for giving up their Saturday morning to get this important job done.

Training BBQ
We will continue to run a BBQ during each Mon-day night training session until the end of daylight savings. This means you can bring your kids down to training and dinner is sort-ed!
Sausages are just $2 and all funds raised will go to the club.
What a fantastic outcome from our Fund-
raiser at Ferguson Plarre last year. The
Laurimar franchise kindly made Laurimar
Power Netball Club a recipient of the mon-
ey raised for providing Babychino’s to cus-
tomers. The store has given the club $640
which will go towards our fundraising goal
to support our new training facility at Lau-
rimar Primary. They have also agreed to
support the club again this year with this
fundraiser, so please get behind Ferguson
Plarre in Laurimar.
Many thanks to the parents and players who vol-
unteered their time at our first major fundraiser
of the year. We managed to raise $450 which will
go toward the court facility improvements at the
Laurimar Primary School.
Maddison, Rebecca and Montana give a helping hand.

Junior Committee Report
The Junior Committee had its most recent meeting in February. We discussed the need to begin
advertising for new members to join as some of our team are no longer Juniors. Kate, Chloe F,
Ashlee and Liana will be leaving the committee at the next elections so this will open up opportu-
nities for current and new members to take on new responsibilities.
We also had some new ideas including having some music at training. We tried it out last Mon-
day with some positive feedback so we will continue with this on court one as long as it does not
distract players and coaches or upset the community.
Our next meeting is in April and we have been challenged to bring new ideas. If you have some-
thing you want Junior Committee to discuss or put forward talk to Liana, Chloe F, Kate, Ashlee,
Jasmine, Chloe B, Bec, Holly, Chelsea or Ashtyn.
