singing? If you are interestedin joining the Choir, pleasesign up in the Activity Book
located in the Main Lobbiesof Buildings 1 and 2. The choir
is the voice of AmericanHouse.
Sing a SongSinging out loud is agreat way to relieve
stress. It doesn’tmatter if your vocalskills are limited—sing in the car, orwherever you are.
Love Is AgelessWhether it is the eternal love betweentwo souls that transcends all else, orthe love of humanity that we all feel,please come join us in a celebration
of love, friendship and humanity. Joinus on Friday, February 12, in a
celebration of the entire spectrum oflove, at our annual Love Is Ageless
dance! With a scrumptious mealprepared by our chef, to the tastefulmusic of our DJ Chris, come dance,eat, and celebrate love to its fullest.
Let the heat of love burn awaywinter’s freezing breath!
Just a friendly reminder thatAmerican House provides
restaurant-style meals in order toencourage our residents to
socialize and enjoy their meals withfriends. Carry-outs are offered for
an additional charge by the Medicalteam. Please do not request a
container from a member of theCulinary Department. If you choose
to remove food from the DiningRoom, you must provide your ownclean container. If your container isdirty, the staff has the right to denyyou service in order to protect yourhealth if and when needed. As of
February 1, this policy will befollowed in full force.
Free Personal Errand Transportation Service W/ Renee• Free transportation is available by appointment only on Thursdays
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Call(248) 880-9130. Calling at least three days in advance is advised.
• American House provides free transportation to any destination within a10-mile radius of our property. The bus driver will call you back toconfirm all requests for transportation.
• Unconfirmed requests may not be honored. Medical and businessappointments will be scheduled first.
• No doctor appointments after 2 p.m.• Please utilize scheduled shopping trips whenever possible.• You may share a ride to the same destination with other residents. Riders
will be given the van driver’s phone number to call when ready to return.• Van has a wheelchair lift.
