SettingUp

Collec tionSites

A site must be used by two or more buildings. (A duplex is one building)

Exclusive collection sites may be set up at housing complexes such as apartments or condominiums or businesses.

The location of collection sites must not violate the Road Traffic Act and other laws.

*There may be some exceptions for collection sites, such as busy areas near stations.

There are designated rules and procedures when setting up a new collec tion site for trash and recyc lables.

Rules for Set Up

Please refrain from setting up collection sites at public facilities such as parks or near parking lots or intersections. This leads to littering and illegal dumping.

Places to Avoid When Setting Up Collection Sites

When removing, moving, or separating collec tion sites, please gain consensus among users then contact the Refuse Collec tion Center.

Waste containing mercury has stopped operations at disposal plants and incinera-tors at multiple disposal plants across the 23 wards. When an incinerator is stopped, it not only takes time and money to restore operations at the disposal plant, but also delays garbage collection and has a huge negative impact on the lives of citizens. We ask for your cooperation in sorting garbage the right way.

If you see illegal dumping, c ontact the following.

To eliminate illegal dumping...Illegal dumping of large furniture or household appliances alongside roads or vacant lots tends to occur repeatedly in places where no one is watching or places that are constantly strewn with trash. To prevent illegal dumping, striving to keep surroundings beautiful and creating an environment that does not allow for illegal dumping is crucial. Let s keep our towns clean and free of illegal dumping.

The Ward s Primary Prevention Measures Against Illegal DumpingInstalling warning signs Surveillance by Illegal Dumping Prevention Association MembersSpreading information on the website or through flyers Patrol by ward officials

Beware of illegal dumping on private propertyIllegally dumped items are the responsibility of the landowner. Private land or private roads are no exception. We ask for cooperation from those who own and manage land in creating an environment that discourages illegal dumping.

To discourage illegal dumpingThe best ways to prevent suspicious individuals from entering include putting up signs saying No Dumping or No Abandoning Trash , thorough cleaning, and maintaining relationships with the neighborhood. If, even after this, illegal dumping persists, install motion sensor lights or other measures to create an environment that discourages illegal dumping.
