The Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard each week on Saturday at the Church (SR #46) from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. The Sacrament of Baptism: Call the parish office to learn the necessary requirements and make an appointment to have your child baptized. The Sacrament of Marriage: Getting married? Congratulations! The process of being married in the Catholic Church could take between 6 months to a year to complete. Please contact Ann Cammarata at the parish office as soon as possible after your engagement if you would like to be married at All Souls Catholic Church. Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office. The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Did you know that the Sacrament may be repeated if the person becomes sick again? A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention. Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: If you are unable to attend Mass, please call the parish office so we may assist you in having a visit from one of our ministers or one of our priests. Catholic Funeral and Burial: Please call the parish office or have the funeral home director contact us to arrange the Funeral Mass and for more information about burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

SCRIPTURE: “"“”...there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the sky was closed for three and a half years and a severe famine spread over the entire land. It was to none of these that Elijah was sent, but only to a widow in Zarephath in the land of Sidon. Again, there were
many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian." Luke 4:21-30 REFLECTION: Pope Francis concluded the 34th World Youth Day in Panama this week with a profound challenge to the 700,000 people to keep saying “"Yes,"” like our Blessed Mother Mary. “"God is real because love is real,"” even in the midst of fear, rejection, & manipulation in our own native places. Our Baptism gives us Identity & Community here at All Souls. ACTION: Pope Francis invites us to say “"‘'Yes”' “not today or for the meantime, but NOW ”" for the mission of Christ is not “"something temporary”" or an “"interval in life…...they are our life.”" Let’s do our Yes now.
What role can you play or what help can you do for our community?
Have a blessed week! Father David
Our Catholic Appeal (OCA) is an annual opportunity for every member of our faith family to support the life-changing work and ministries of the Diocese of Orlando. Gifts to Our Catholic Appeal fund a variety of ministries that serve our nine counties in ways that no parish could alone. Annual gifts to Our Catholic Appeal provide essential funding to 27 ministries that benefit every Catholic parish, school and family in Central Florida. This funding provides critical support for our seminarians and retired priests, tuition assistance, health and housing care to people in need, faith programs for children, families and adults, assistance for migrant workers and the disabled, and outreach programs such as Catholic Charities of Central Florida. The 2019 Catholic Appeal video by Bishop Noonan will be presented at all Masses on February 9 and 10 with a follow-up the following weekend of February 16 and 17. Please be as generous as your means permit.

A spiritual experience for the entire family! All Souls Catholic Church will be welcoming Dr. Matt Daniels and Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz of Faith on Fire Missions in April 2019 for a very special Lenten Community Retreat. Matt and Deacon Jerry will be arriving the weekend of
April 5th to celebrate at all Masses with our parish. Mark your calendars as you absolutely do not want to miss this very unique spiritual opportunity! The Community Retreat will kick off the with a family concert and social the evening of Sunday, April 7th, 2019. The Community Retreat will take place the evenings of April 8th, 9th and 10th. SAVE THIS DATE! TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND BRING YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY!
Dear Parents —, please be aware that the calendar was adjusted to accommodate the parish retreat in April. As there has not been a parish retreat or mission for a couple of years, this was important to offer to the faith community. Families are encouraged to attend all Parish Retreat events if their schedules allow; however families will be expected to attend the Parish Retreat on the evening they would normally attend class. Watch the bulleting and website for more information about this faith-filled event of song and prayer. God bless!

Our First Reading: Jeremiah was called to be a prophet during one of the darkest periods in Israel's history - the 6th century B.C. exile into Babylon. But the Lord assured Jeremiah of divine providence. When have you experienced God's guidance and protection at a difficult time in your life? Our Second Reading: Paul taught the Christians in Corinth that of the three virtues (faith, hope, and love), the greatest virtue is love. In what ways do you think Paul is right? Our Gospel Reading: In Luke's account of the rejection at Nazareth, Jesus is violently resisted by his fellow villagers. "They were all filled with fury and drove him out of the town." Why do you think these people were so angry with Jesus? LPI, Inc.

"One who has hope lives differently." -Pope Benedict XVI
If you feel strongly about something, you might want to share your thoughts and feelings with others. When that something has to do with things such as food, art, or travel, others might show an interest, so the conversation is enjoyable. However, when that something is politics or religion, watch out! The conversation can quickly turn to debate and then to anger. That can be anything but enjoyable. The Gospel does not always lead to joy when initially presented. Sometimes, it convicts us and makes us see the error of our ways. Other times, it seems what is asked of us is too hard and requires us to step out of our comfort zone. When Jesus spoke the truth about the Kingdom of God, not everyone cheered. That was never a reason to be silent. Stewardship living allows us to give witness to the Gospel with few words. Our actions speak very loudly. However, no one should ever be left to wonder why you and I would choose to do the things we do. What a shame it would be if you passed away and at your funeral people commented on how great a person you were, but they had
no idea you were a Christian. People need to understand the "why" of what we do. The truth is that there is great joy in being a disciple of Jesus Christ. Don't rob others of the chance to know that joy for themselves.
