How Can We Become
A More Elder-Friendly Community? Aging & Disability Services for Seattle-
King County wants to know how you think we can become a more elder-friendly
community. Every four years, ADS devel-ops a plan that charts the course the
agency will take to create an elder-friendly community. ADS looks at de-
mographics and other trends, and major service goals and objectives.
Public input is important, and ADS has
created a survey—available on Survey Monkey and also in print—that will help
shape the plan for 2016–2019. Take the
survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/X5JY736. Learn more in this recent Age-
Wise King County article. Questions? Con-tact ADS planner Karen Winston at 206-
684-0706 or [email protected].

Due to a sustained surge in local car vandalism, all parishioners are advised to park in the church lot, particularly when it is dark, and to avoid leaving items visible in vehicles. Police are aware of these break-ins, and we are all encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

IgNite: Ignatian Nights
for Young Adults
Prayer Made Flesh: Praying with Our Bodies Thursday, February 12, 2015 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Mother Teresa Room, St. Joseph Parish Center, Seattle
The human body is a sacred text within the
larger text of creation.” - J. Philip Newell
We all pray with our bodies. Whether we are moving or still,
contemplative or exuberant….Connecting with and communi-
cating with God using our physical selves happens everyday.
Our body’s language manifests in our intuition, exhaustion,
gut feelings, desires and physical sensations. Marilyn Nash
will guide us though an evening focusing on the body’s inte-
gral relationship to our spirituality. Contact Michaela Kearns,
IgNite Coordinator, if you have any questions: 206-329-4824.
Sponsored by the Ignatian Spirituality Center
(www.ignatiancenter.org).

Please click here to find an update on where we are in responding to the IRS Tax Fraud scam we ex-perienced last year. One of the most important points that the IRS has stressed to us is the best way to avoid being impacted by this scam is to file your return as early as possible. Please share any of the information contained in the update with other parishioners, school faculty and parents.
