We are planning training events for the spring and late summer (April and August). These will be very helpful to our churches so we hope you will be involved. There will be information in the newsletter as well as notices and emails being sent out. Please check these things out and be a part of what is happening in the association. In closing, let me share my heart just a moment. I told the committee and the pastors I have met with, that there is a five-fold purpose for me. They are Missions, Evangelism, Ministry, Education, and Fellowship. These are my passion and I will work accordingly. Pray for me and the association as we try to move forward. PASTORS: WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEAD LIKE JESUS?

Then look at this. There is a new process that will help us move in that direc-tion. Lester Evans from NCBSC will be with us on Friday night, February 26,

to introduce this to us. It is from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. The meeting will take place at Vengeance Creek Church just off NC Hwy. 141. I know this is a Friday night, but we are going to have a dinner for you and then the introduction to “Lead

Like Jesus!” The event if for pastors and their wives. There is no cost, but we do need you to make reservations in order that we may prepare food. Call the

TBA office at 837-5401 to make reservations or for more information.

2016 Mileage Rate The IRS has just announced the standard business mileage rate will fall in 2016 to 54 cents per mile (down from 57.5 cents per mile in 2015), while mileage for medical or moving purposes will decrease to 19 cents per mile (down from 23 cents per mile in 2015). Lower fuel prices are a contributor to these declines in the mileage rates. The standard charitable mileage rate remains set at the statutory rate of 14 cents per mile.
