CLIMATE
• The climate region of the F.S.M is tropical.
• There is heavy rain year-round, with occasional typhoons.
• The vegetation of the country are tropical flowers and plants like orchids and coconut trees.
• The proximity to the Equator and no natural barriers from weather all effect the climate.
The vegetation of the islands, as shown here on the island
depicted, are made up of many tropical trees,
underbrush and smaller flowers and plants.
COUNTRY FLAG
The Micronesian Flag's blue background represents the Pacific Ocean, while the stars in a diamond formation represent the four Micronesian states.
CURRENCYThe national currency is the United States Dollar (USD). The currency is split into 100 cents per dollar ($). This currency was used likely because of the fact that the F.S.M. is in a free association with the U.S. government.
