Qualifications—Candidates for direct entry must. possess intermediate certificates of the following

those applicable to contract officers in the service -of the Federal Government,

professional bodies :-—~

(2) Institute of Chartered Accountants ;

| ®) Institute of Chartered Secretaries;(c) Corporation of Secretaries ;

(d) Association of Certified and Corporateccountants.

. Applications will also be considered frompersons in the Southern Cameroons Public Service,

a Bank, a Public Corporation or firm of professional accountant who hold the post of Assistant Chief

Clerk in the Public Service. or its equivalent else-

where and who hold an approved qualification inbook-keeping or accountancy.

Duties—The persons appointed will be required

to assist in auditing Government accounts and such

other public accounts as are subject to audit by theDirector of Audit, Southern Cameroons. Duties

will include supervision of junior audit staff, either

in the Headquarters office or on tour, the preparation

of reports and returns, and routine office administra-tion.

‘Other conditions of service—The appointment(s)

will. be on pensionable terms. Other conditions of

service will be those applicable to the Federal

Public Service. .
