Feelgood’ Friday Newsletter - Normanby...

Amazing Work Blog - Thank you to Y3 children who have been using their research skills to find out about cave art as part of their work on the Stone Age to Iron Age. Their amazing work can be viewed along with the Pupil News at: hp://amazingworknps.blogspot.com/ or you can scan the QR code. Year 5 @ I2L - This week some of our Year 5 children spent the day at the Inspire 2 Learn Centre. They had the important job of sup- porng teachers from the local area who were aending an ICT course with Tim Rylands. All of the children were simply outstand- ing! The teachers were amazed at their confidence, knowledge and experse. The children quickly picked up new skills, whilst sharing their learning with others. At the end of the day, the children did a superb job presenng their work with the teachers who they had worked with. We are very proud of all of you! Esafety Training - We are holding our annual Esafety Training Session with Simon Finch on Thursday, 26th February from 11:15am - 12:00pm. The session will focus on social networking and safety for your child whilst using the internet. You will have the opportunity to stay for lunch at a cost of £3.70, but we sll have a few places leſt for a free school lunch on a first come, first served basis. Y5/6 Netball team played in a compeon at Eston Sports Academy and finished 4th. They played very well and won the fair play award and also some sports equipment for our school. Well done to Jessica, Libby, Kelham, Jay, Olivia, Beth & Abby! Half of Year 6 went to Tuned in in this week to compose and read music and we also played as a samba band and on African drums! Our preferred method of payment is via ParentPay but for parents and carers who choose to pay via cheque, please be aware that it may take up to a month for us to bank any cheques presented for school payments. Lan Club cancelled on Monday, 9th February. Lost Property - A pair of Black UK Size 10 Puma Trainers have been handed into the office this week. They were found outside and handed into the office. If anyone thinks the trainers belong to them, please contact the main office. Glee on Tour - Well done to all the children who took part in Glee on Tour - you were amazing. They finally finished the tour singing at St Margarets - Westminster Abbey, had dinner at Hard Rock Café, recorded an album at Abbey Road Studios and went to see ‘Matilda’ before finally travelling home for a well earned rest.
