Tuesday 7th April 2020 FELIXSTOWE Have a stroll along the Promenade and take in the fresh sea air, maybe treat yourself to some fish & chips and an ice cream. If you fancy a longer walk head to the Nature Reserve which leads to Landguard Fort and the docks.
Thursday 16th April 2020 WOODBRIDGE The historic waterfront town of Woodbridge sits on the river Deben. There are many shops and places to eat, or maybe take a walk along the riverside. You could also pay a visit to The Tide Mill, the country’s only remaining working Tide Mill which has been operating for over 800 years.

Maldon, famous for the Hythe, the home to many of the remaining Thames Barges, makes for a perfect day out. The Promenade Park, originally created on the sloping bank of the River Blackwater over one hundred years ago is popular with visitors and residents alike.
This town was the third largest Roman settlement in Britain and there is plenty of evidence of this including a fine mosaic floor and hypocaust along with the remains of an open-air theatre (admission fees apply). There is also the Abbey Church with medieval wall paintings and St Alban’s Shrine. There are numerous places to eat, an excellent range of shops and a colourful, vibrant street market.

HUNSTANTON The only West facing seafront in East Anglia has a promenade, fun fair and bowls. There is also pitch-and-putt, the Sea Life Sanctuary and the Esplanade Gardens. Then we move onto Stody Lodge Gardens, where their specialty is Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Wednesday 24th June
MISSISSIPPI PADDLE BOAT Travel up to the Norfolk Broads for a river cruise on the Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. First, we will take you to The Lodge Inn, Salhouse for lunch. Choose from either, Cod Chips & Peas, Chicken and Leek Pie with New Potatoes & Veg, Quiche Lorraine with New Potatoes or Vegetarian Quiche with New Potatoes & Salad (v). CHARTWELL This National Trust property was the much-loved Churchill family home. The rooms remain much as they were when Winston Churchill lived here, with pictures, books and personal mementoes evoking the career and wide-ranging interests of a great statesman and family man. The hillside gardens show Churchill's love of landscape and nature. BAKEWELL & MATLOCK
We will first travel up to Bakewell situated on the banks of the River Wye. Famously known for the Bakewell Pudding first being produced in the 1860s and then the Bakewell Tart being a variant developed in the 20th Century. At approximately 2.15pm we will then travel to Matlock. The Crown Square and the River Derwent lie at the heart of Matlock and the gateway to the Hall Leys Park which has been given 12 consecutive green flag awards.
SOUTHWOLD Come with us to Southwold, where you could have a wander around the market, a walk through the town, a stroll along the promenade or an amble on the pier!
Set in 150 acres situated in Staffordshire and on the edge of the national Forest the Arboretum is the UK’s year-round memorial and centre of remembrance. About 30,000 trees with both native species and specimens as well as trees from all over the world are in the living memorial. They have over 300 memorials dedicated to individuals, charitable organisations, emergency services and military associations. There is the land train tour to help you see more if your feet need a rest (cost applies) and there are many talks throughout the day which are free to attend.
SHERINGHAM Sheringham is a traditional seaside town with its promenade running in and out of the low cliffs. You could enjoy the day on the beach or have a wander round the shops in the town.

THE STEAMY VINTAGE ENCOUNTER
Join us for a ride in one of our vintage coaches going along to The East Anglian Railway Museum for their nostalgic 1940’s event. There will be 1940’s inspired singing, dancing and re-enactments including rifle drills and an evacuee drama. As well as vintage market stalls and the Café Tabac tearoom. There are also train rides going on all day which is included in your admission price.
LOWESTOFT Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the UK and home to two of the best beaches in the area. Lowestoft is a family seaside resort with pitch & putt, the Adventure Island play park and lovely sandy beaches.
The Tina Turner Musical is a jukebox musical featuring the music of Tina Turner, and depicting her life from her youth in Nutbush, Tennessee, through her tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner, and comeback as a rock 'n roll star in her 40s. This is the tallest moving observation tower in the world where you can view 360 degrees all around Brighton. LEEDS CASTLE – KENT Leeds Castle which is over 900 years old is a beautiful place to visit with many things to see, the maze is made of 2,400 yew trees and once you reach the middle you can access the Grotto which shows mythical creatures created with shells, minerals & wood. BEXHILL
Bexhill or Bexhill-On-Sea as it can be known, is a fairly tranquil seaside town in East Sussex on the south coast of England. There is a wide promenade with the gently sloping beach and the famous 1930’s De La Warr Pavilion. In the town there are many independent shops and restaurants. There is also the Bexhill Museum which showcases local history, archaeology, fashion and Bexhill’s motor heritage. We are able to make a pick-up in Halstead & Four Releet Crossroads, Braintree on this excursion
ALDEBURGH Enjoy the miles of unspoilt shingle coastline and heathlands. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes and lots of individual, appealing shops to look around.
GREENWICH – LONDON Greenwich which is situated on the river Thames is home to the Meridian Time Line, The Cutty Sark, The National Maritime Museum and The Royal Observatory. Also, the Planetarium can take you along journeys through space and time (costs will apply). There is also the Greenwich Market which is regarded as London’s best covered market.

HIGHCLERE CASTLE – THE HOME OF DOWNTON ABBEY Come with us to visit one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles set in 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The Caernarvon family has lived at Highclere since 1679, and the current castle stands on the site of an earlier house, which was built on the foundations of a medieval palace. Highclere was used in the TV programme Downton Abbey and in 1922 was home to the 5th Earl, who with Howard Carter, discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamun. SHERINGHAM OR CROMER Sheringham has a promenade running in and out of the low cliffs and you could spend time on the beach or in the town. Cromer has wide beaches and the pier. There are also museums and shops as well. Choose from spending the day at either Sheringham or Cromer.
STAMFORD OR BURGHLEY HOUSE Stamford has over 600 listed buildings all in mellow limestone in the town centre including 5 medieval churches. It is also home to one of the oldest provincial theatres, built in 1768, which is now used as the arts centre. There are plenty of shops and buildings to explore, or you could have a quiet walk along the river. Alternatively, enjoy a visit to Burghley House. Built between 1555 and 1587 the house has been beautifully preserved and restored. Take a look round the old kitchen, the chapel, the billiard room and many of the bedrooms. LINCOLN Lincoln is a vibrant city which is rich in history with a contemporary edge with its history dating back as far as 300BC. Nick named ‘Tank Town’ the first ever tanks were designed and built in Lincoln and paraded through the city before going to war in 1916. In Lincoln Castle the original copies of the Magna Carta (1215) and the Charter of the Forest (1217) are on display.

MISSISSIPPI PADDLE BOAT Travel up to the Norfolk Broads for a river cruise on the Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. First, we will take you to The Lodge Inn, Salhouse for lunch.
