    #1 Node Lock

    Install license and Femtet on a PC.

    #2 Remote PC

    Install license and Femtet on a server PC and operate it from a remote PC.

    #3 Server-Client

    Install license on a server PC, and Femtet on client PC’s.

    1. Introduction

    There are 3 patterns to install license and Femtet.

    In this manual, #3 is explained.

    1. Download RusTool installer* from our website (http://muratasoftware.com/en)

    Home > Download > Tools > License update tool

    *Installer file name: Femtet_LDK_RusTool_x.x.x.exe (x.x.x is a version number)

    2. Install RusTool on your server PC

    3. Follow the setup wizard.

    4. Once the installment is completed, RusTool will be activated automatically

    2. Install RusTool

    RusTool is a software to install and update a license of Femtet.

    Note:

    -10MB memory is required on the hard disk to install RusTool.

    -If software which uses Sentinel LDK is installed, you must complete the operation of the

    software before installing Sentinel LDK.

    1. Go to Windows [Start] > [All Programs] > [Femtet RusTool] > [RusTool].

    2. Go to [Collect Status Information] tab.

    3. Select [Installation of new protection key].

    4. Press [Collect Information] button.

    5. Send the created c2v file to us (name the file as you wish).

    6. Upon receipt of your c2v file, we will send you a license file.

    1. On Windows start menu, go to [All Programs] >[Femtet Verxxx xxbit] >[License Manager] > [License Update Tool] (Activate RusTool)

    2. Open [Apply License File] tab.

    3. Click […] button on the right side of [Update File] to show

    the window of [Select the file to apply]

    4. Select the license file (v2c file) and press [Open] button.

    5. Click [Apply Update] button.

    Setup the access to the server by client.

    1.Install Femtet in the client PC.

    2.Go to Windows [Start] > [All Programs] > [Femtet Ver xxx.xxbit] >

    [Tool] > [Network Licensing Setup Tool] > [Run as administrator].

    Then, type Hostname or IP address.

    *Note:This procedure is required for every client PC.

    Go to http://localhost:1947/ in the client PC.①Configuration②[Access to Remote License Managers] Tab③[Allow Access to Remote Licenses] ON

    [Broadcast Search for Remote Licenses] OFF

    [Aggressive Search for Remote Licenses] OFF

    In [Remote License Search Parameters], enter server name or IP address(ex. “Home7406”, “192.64.20.1”, etc.)④ Press [Submit] button

    6. Check Client’s Reference to Server

    Select [Sentinel] Keys

    Go to http://localhost:1947/ in the client PC.

    Location: Server PC name

    Vendor: 110950 (ID of Murata Software)

    Key ID: ID of license key

    1.Activate Femtet.

    Go to [Tool] > [License]

    To confirm the license status, go to http://localhost:1947/ in the client PC.

    1. Sentinel Keys

    2. Actions > Features

    Feature: Package type

    Logins: Number of licenses in use

    Limit: Maximum number of licenses that can be activated

    Restrictions: Expiration date

    Go to http://localhost:1947/

    3. Deselect [Allow Access to Remote Licenses]

    4. Press [Submit] button

    To select optional license,

    go to [Application Menu] >[General Settings] > [Optional Licenses]

    If you don’t want to use [CAD Data Translator] for example, deselect it.

    To install RusTool, you need to terminate processes on HASP/Sentinel LDK tools

    beforehand.

    1. Log on the server as administrator

    2. Go to Windows [Start] > [Control Panel] >[Administration Tool] > [Service]Stop other HASP/Sentinel LDK Services*.

    3. Install Rustool

    4. Restart the server

    5. Restart other HASP/Sentinel LDK services if needed.

    *If you are not sure of the service you need to stop, please contact the support center.

    1. Check RusTool in the server PC.

    Make sure v2c file is updated by RusTool.

    2. Check Network Licensing Setup Tool.

    Make sure Referencing Network Licenses are enabled. (Refer to page 7)

    Click the button.

    Specify v2c file.
