Types of festival

• There are lots of different types of festival the most know are the music, art festivals, cultural and gaming festivals there are lots of other types of festivals like festivals that celebrate movies and lots of different cultural food, and there was even a festival that celebrated other festivals.• There’s an upcoming Thame food festival in Oxfordshire, Saturday 26th

September 2015.

Types of food at festivals.

• There are all types that are served at festivals like Indian, Mexican, American, English like fish and chips, Italian, Chinese, and lots more most of the time the food is served at these little stands that are run by normal people that just bring that ingredients and cook it on the spot.• There different themes of food at festivals themed to celebrate people

things that have happened, things like football and sports and lots more.• There was a stall at Leeds music festival that was selling styled food to

look like lobsters fish chicken and other sea food meats.

Importance for teens to eat healthy.

• By eating a varied and balanced diet as shown in the Eatwell plate, you should be able to get all the energy and nutrients you need from the food and drink you consume, allowing your body to grow and develop properly.

Problems with storing food at festivals • There could be problems with storing food because you don’t much

space to store the food with some food bars at festivals because there is not much space to store food and the fact of that there is a lot of people and germs that could get to the stored food, and there has been food there before that food that may have been rotting in the back of the van or food bar.

Cooking the food

• In most food stands they a large plastic or metal source span and they constantly cook the food and when some one wants something they just dish it up

• Its going to be taco’s a Mexican dish • The thing that makes taco’s, taco’s is that they have a shell which holds every

thing inside it like minced beef, lettuce, tomato's

Ingredients for taco’s

• 500g beef mince • 1 onion, chopped • 1 green pepper, chopped • 6 tablespoons tomato puree • 12 taco shells • vegetable oil, for frying • salt and pepper to taste • 1 iceberg lettuce, shredded • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped • 2 tablespoons grated Cheddar Cheese • soured cream

recipe

• 1.Dry-fry the mince in a frying pan until brown and crumbly, stirring occasionally and breaking it up with a wooden spoon.• 2.Add the onion, green pepper and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally,

until softened. Stir in the herbs and spices; season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the tomato puree and mix well. Cover and cook gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.• 3.Place a little of the mixture into the taco shells.
