Hello fellow brewers, 2020 is not only the start of a new year, but the beginning of a new slate of officers for the club. I know that the new officers have some big shoes to fill with the end of term for the prior officers, but we will do our best. I would also appreciate any input or feedback as we transition to the new leadership. This is after all a member-oriented club and though not every idea is feasible, there are practicable things that can be accomplished. Many of those ideas could easily be things that the officers may not have thought of, so please bring your ideas up whether in a meeting or make a direct suggestion with an officer. One note about Facebook or other social media platforms, it may be a great vehicle to share a topic to those who are online when you are. However, it is possible that a posting could get buried after very little time and be missed. So, it may not be the most reliable or effective way to communicate between the club members and officers, I would encourage direct communication. 2020 will not only include the usual festivals and programs we hope to continue and enjoy, but also Homebrew Con in Nashville will be relatively close this year. This may be a more practical location for more to take the opportunity to attend. Hopefully for those able and willing to go, we will have a strong club turnout. More details on upcoming festivals and potential agenda items will follow, but time does creep up quickly when meeting on a monthly basis. It would be good to get a rough idea of how many might be interested in going. To conclude this month’s Prez letter, I raise my glass to all the members in this new year. This club’s potential for you is what you can help provide to it. Thank you and hope everyone can make as many meetings as possible.

Ted O’Neill

I look forward to being your secretary. As Ted said this is member oriented club and we welcome input. I will be including a new feature “Recipe of the month” which could be a recipe or food/beer pairing informationIf you have things you would like to include inthe newsletter (tech topics, photos, etc.)you can email them to me [email protected]. Enjoy the Valentine edition.
