    FEVERSCREEN

  • FEVERSCREEN

The space between and immediately around Feverscreen and the individual to be

    screened is critical.

Feverscreen, IEC and ISO provide a series of recommendations to help ensure best

possible conditions to achieve more accurate screening results. These include:

    • Approach from 2m away remaining parallel to the terminal at all times

    • Faces must be parallel to unit when screening

    • Eyeglasses and facial covering must not obstruct face during screening

    • Ambient temperature must be controlled

    • Screening, if possible, to be conducted in a controlled indoor environment

    between 18-24°C

    • Ensure screening subject is not sweating at time of screening

    • Ensure screening subject has not recently washed their face

    • The screening unit itself must not be under

    o bright lights

    o air-conditioning

    o drafts

    o heat or cold sources

    • If a high temperature is detected follow up with a clinical device.

Feverscreen is not a clinical device.

    • Ensure backdrop is Non-Reflective.

    • Avoid conducting screening in spaces which have dark backgrounds

    • Avoid conducting screening in dimly lit environments

Installations musty comply to the above recommendations and be installed as per

    diagram 1

What happens in and around this space is critical

their image will appear in the first tile.

Scanning As people scan, their image will appear in the respective tile in addition to the

main tile bottom. The persons reading and STOP, GO or NO MASK result will

also appear depending on selected options.

History Panel The last eight people scanned will appear across the top of the history panel

together with their temperature reading and time they were scanned. Tiles will

    recycle as

People Counting People counter indicates how many people have scanned across the day.

    STOP: Indicates individual with abnormal

    temperature

    CAUTION

In order for Feverscreen to maintain accuracy, units must be installed in a stable environment which

does not fluctuate in temperature. ISO recommends indoor environments between 18-24° Celsius.

External environments and environments with temperatures outside of this range must be within the

specification of the unit and not be subject to sudden fluctuations in temperature.

Feverscreen cannot be installed in environments effected by the below:

    1. In direct sun

    2. In any situation where sun is reflecting off surrounding

surfaces (Feverscreen utilizes a highly sensitive thermal

module and can pick up on reflected sun/heat sources

    from over 100m away)

    3. In instances where a persons face is reflecting sun. Both

the thermal module and facial recognition module require a

clear fully shaded view of the persons face. Where a

person presents with a half shaded view of the face AI

    algorithms may be inhibited.

    4. In any situation where sun will influence the temperature of

an individual or the unit itself

    1. In rain or wet environments

    2. Despite the unit being splash proof, any form of water or

humidity over the thermal module will impact on the

    accuracy of results

    3. Water, dust or grime covering the lens of the facial

recognition camera can impact on AI calculations and

    effect temperature readings

    1. Under air conditioning

    2. In areas effected by frost or mildew

    3. In any situation where the temperature of the unit can

fluctuate significantly due to fluctuations in surrounding air

    temperature

    1. In wind or high flow environments

    2. In any situation where the temperature of the unit can

fluctuate significantly due to winds or fans causing airflow

between the unit and individual being screened.
