WHO IS FG WILSON?

FG Wilson is a truly global company with over 3000 employees

and 40 years of experience in the supply of diesel and gas

powered generating sets.

Unlike other generating set suppliers, we don’t just build

products. From initial assessment of your power needs…to

implementation of a solution…through round the clock service,

technical back up and support, FG Wilson, in partnership

with our Global Dealer Network, provide a complete end-to-

end service throughout the product life cycle. With global

production facilities in Brazil, China, India, USA and company

headquarters in Northern Ireland, our manufacturing operations

cover a combined area of over 2,000,000 ft2 – from which we

produce more than 80,000 generating sets each year.

With more than 180 Authorised Dealers operating in over

100 countries worldwide, a global wealth of knowledge and

experience is delivered through the expertise, service and

Our product range from 10 – 2200 kVA, includes open and

enclosed generating sets for standby domestic use, right up to

power modules with the ability to operate as complete power

stations supplying electricity to national grids.

INNOVATION

New product development at FG Wilson is a continuous

process that provides new answers to the changing needs and

expectations of our customers. Driven by market requirements

and the emerging opportunities presented through the

development of new technology, we are committed to excellence

in providing new innovative products.

Our team of Product Validation Engineers conduct extensive

prototype testing on all new product designs. Our standard

product validation programmes include load acceptance, cooling,

vibration, noise and water ingress tests.

FG Wilson has some of the world’s most advanced generating set

production facilities. Our facilities include Europe’s largest fully

automated hemi-anechoic chamber – providing state of the art

acoustic research and test capabilities.

Eleven witness test cells allow special testing of open and

enclosed generating sets. High voltage testing and string testing

can be offered to simulate conditions when generating sets are

installed in the field.

POWER SOLUTIONS

When your power needs are more challenging than normal

specifications, FG Wilson Solutions Department is dedicated to

providing bespoke solutions to meet often complex power needs.

All Solutions products are designed to meet the unique needs of

each customer on a project-by-project basis.

Our Solutions Department is composed of a highly skilled and

experienced team of Sales Support Engineers, Project Managers,

Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers and over

200 skilled technicians.

At company headquarters in Northern Ireland, we have over

165,000 ft 2 of factory space that is assigned uniquely to the

creation of Solutions products. Our Solutions offering includes

diesel, gas and bi-fuel generating sets, high voltage generating

sets, special control systems and special cooling systems.

Over 1,000 customised enclosures are produced each year to suit

unique requirements.

Our Solutions clients operate in a wide variety of sectors and

industries and include power utility suppliers, telecommunication

companies, hospitals, the world’s leading hotel groups, major

supermarket chains and high street retailers.

RENTAL POWER

Our rental range of generating sets are used by rental fleet

owners in a wide variety of applications where temporary power

needs exist including telecommunications, manufacturing, events

and construction.

Our rental generating sets range from 20 – 1250 kVA. They are

fuel efficient, easy to operate and robust to meet the rigorous

requirements of customer’s temporary power needs. Galvanised,

sound attenuated enclosures have excellent noise reduction for

residential areas, are long lasting, and hardwearing to withstand

the harshest on-site conditions.

Additional features on our rental range include an extended

capacity fuel tank that is fully bunded to contain all spillages and

an easily accessible control panel incorporating metering and

shutdown protections.

Power Modules can be customised to meet rental customer’s

exact requirements. They are provided in secure containers for

sites where safety and security may be a problem.
