2017, the 21st
edition of Food and
Hotel China (FHC) concluded at Shanghai New
International Expo Center with a record number of
visitors and exhibitors.
The show was reported to be better than ever - with
85,000sqm of space and 2,350 international exhibitors
from more than 69 countries, FHC has grown to become
the leading tradeshow for international companies
looking to introduce their products into the Chinese
market.
FHC welcomed 91,301 trade visitors over three days,
representing a record-breaking 40% increase in
attendees since the 2016 show.

ICEX SPAIN TRADE & INVESTMENT has been successfully participating in this event for the
last 16 years. 80 Spanish companies were taking part in this year’s exhibition and cover
many sectors of the food industry: (meat, wine, beverages, Olive oil, etc). Taking into
account that Spain has significantly increased its exports to China in the last 8 years,
reaching a staggering 1.170 million euros, FHC CHINA is a unique opportunity for the
Spanish food industry to consolidate and expand upon its relationship with its Chinese
counterpart. FHC CHINA is an excellent and well organised platform for the Spanish
market, and ICEX will continue to participate with a great deal of enthusiasm.

It is our first time exhibiting at FHC and we are very happy and satisfied with the show.
We have done some research into the Chinese market and knew which companies we

About 500 trade visitors were attracted by “Power of Bakery 2017”, all China bakery
industry development congress. The activity of the Revival of Traditional Pastry especially

expand the cooperation again with FHC in 2018.
