To date, over 1,200 customers have been converted to direct fiber connections, and approximately 30% of the total project work has been completed, which includes burying the mainline fiber and infrastructure to prepare a neighborhood for fiber service. Construction currently consists of burying drops to homes and businesses in Aurora, which allows the splicing crews to follow behind connecting and installing the fiber. In Doniphan, the mainline of fiber is being installed in the Amick Acres subdivision and fiber site surveys are being completed in customer homes. With fiber installation, Hamilton will be delivering some of the fastest internet speeds in the state! The highest tier delivers up to 1 Gig of download speed in the Whole Home Gig plan.
