Simplified power supply design: Fiberhome modularized ONU is powered by 12V DC power which simplified the power terminal from 3 cores to 2 cores.
Rich interface design: Fiberhome modularized ONU can use RS232 interface to realize communication and management of the photoreceivers, which fit the requirement of existing network design.
Energy saving control switch design: Fiberhome modularized ONU can control the switches of broadband/ narrowband EOC central office module, meet the need of energy saving requirement.
Integrated control design of different modules: Fiberhome modularized ONU is able to realize integrated control of different modules, such as ONU module, optical receiver network management module, broadband EOC module, narrow band EOC module.
ONU module Introduction
• The ONU(Optical Network Unit) used in Fiberhome EPON+EOC solution is consider
to be a good choice for passive optical network access such as FTTx, it has the
advantages of high performance, dense interfaces and easy installation.
