~tteetU.f~-----------Welcome to Beausejour and the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships. An event like this could not
happen without the hard work and support of the many committee members, sponsors and volunteers who give their time, effort and financial support to make this a truly international event. I would like to thank all the businesses who sponsor our events year to year and the Town and Municipality for their support and cooperation. I would like to thank the committee members and volunteers who work hard to provide the best Racing in North America.
Special thanks go to the Racers and Fans who support us here today. We have been racing snowmobiles in Beausejour for over 40 years and it would not be possible without the support of the fans and racers who make
it all worth while.
Whether you are a first time visitor or an annual one, welcome to the 42nd Annual Canadian Power Toboggan Championships! Have a Safe Weekend and Enjoy the Greatest Show on Snow!

Congratulations to the Executive, the Directors and all the volunteers who made this 42nd annual Canadian Power Toboggan Championship possible. The Beausejour, Brokenhead, Tyndall and Garson area has some of the finest volunteers in the Province. Volunteers give communities a sense of identity, and the identity given to this area by all of the volunteers is one of caring, compassion and community spirit - and for that I thank you!
It is amazing when one realizes that these are the 42nd Championship races. There are very few communities in Canada that can boast hosting a major sporting event for 41 years in a row. This shows the commitment, the resolve and the dedication of the residents of our area.
Good luck to all the competitors. Enjay the show.

Who is "Big AI?" Surely that is a question you once asked. Big AI is like the household name of snowmobiling. Everyone has heard of him.
AI Delaine has been involved in snowmobiling for 35 years. Bought his first sled in 1970 and has owned a sled built by every manufacturer. And for the past 30 years, he's been attending the CPTC races. Ten years ago was the beginning of his sponsorship with CPTC. AI has always had a spot in his heart for racing.
Wescan Electro Build (WEB) was established 10 years ago. They mainly concentrate on complete engine work and rebuilds; including crankshaft and jack shaft repair, bearing diameter and seal area repairs. Different accessories are also stocked including carbides, clutch & piston kits.
Al's other business is Millennium Cylinder Technologies. It is independently owned and is the sister-shop to the American location . His specialty is reconditioned Nikasil TM cylinders; as well as porting (race and trail sleds) and big bore kits. Cylinders purchased from AI are cheaper then buying new. And the turn-around time is fast. Millennium's application is also used on motorcycles and go-carts and is completely global.
Throughout the many years, WEB and Millennium have supported many drivers that race at CPTC, in snow-x and drag racing. The next time you need some work done, head down to one of his two locations and ask for Big AI (see ad in this program for contact info) .
CPTC is proud to be associated with AI, Wescan Electro Build and Millennium Cylinder Technologies. _j

C.P.T.C. & CNARA are pleased to be co-sanctioning our 4Znd Annual Power Toboggan Championships with WSA Pro Ice. WSA runs races throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
In co-sanctioning, Beausejour becomes a points race for WSA which will bring a huge contingent of WSA racers up for our event.
We will be running WSA classes at our event. There are 3 distinct driver experience levels. Sport classes are the entry level class for new drivers. Semi-pro is the next level of driver experience. The pro class is exactly as it implies, the top level pro racers. WSA also has an excellent junior and women's program. The following is a list of race classes:

Any of the classes that are designated by 600L, SOOL or 600F, regardless of whether they are Pro or Junior or anything between, are stock sleds. The short skis they are allowed to run give them a slightly different look than the consumer sleds. The CHAMP, FORMULA and SPRINT classes are allowed numerous chassis modifications along with varying degrees of engine modifications depending on the class.
Any number designation in a race class refers to the maximum cubic centimeter or cc displacement of the engine allowed in that class.
In the JR BOYS or GIRLS classes the age of the driver allowed in that specific class is included in the heading.
The JR NOVICE 10-13 CHAMP 380 FAN is a new class for this year. It allows the junior riders to use a CHAMP chassis with a 380 FAN stock motor. The idea is to give these riders a chance to run CHAMP chassis before they make the jump to the PRO classes.
The RELIC class is restricted to machines that are 1970 and older. EARLY MODEL classes are restricted to 1975 or older. Vintage Mod classes are restricted to 1979 and older and only machines of leaf spring design. PRO VINTAGE IPS classes are for machines built between 1977-1982 and may have independent front suspensions.
