Field proven remediation technologies for the most
challenging sites.
The Environmental Solutions team provides a portfolio
of field-proven, sustainable technologies that support
soil and groundwater remediation for both in situ and
ex situ applications. Our portfolio of proven in situ
chemical oxidation (ISCO), in situ chemical reduction
(ISCR), and bioremediation technologies promotes rapid
and cost-effective treatment of a wide range of organic
compounds and heavy metals. Over the years we have
successfully treated millions of liters of groundwater,
and more than ten million metric tons of impacted
soils, sediments and industrial process wastes on six
continents around the globe. We work collaboratively
with consultants, engineers, site owners, regulators and
the academic community to recommend customized
solutions for the unique requirements of each project.
Field Proven Remediation Technologies
In Situ Chemical Oxidation
1. Klozur® Persulfate
Klozur® persulfate is the oxidant of choice for in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), because of its ability to treat a wide range of contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum and PAHs. When properly activated, Klozur persulfate provides an unmatched combination of oxidative power and control that can be delivered both safely and cost effectively.
2. Klozur® CR
Klozur® CR is a single, formulated product consisting of high-pH activated Klozur® Persulfate and PermeOx® Ultra engineered calcium peroxide, uniting the strengths of both products to treat contaminant source zones and down-gradient plumes. It is formulated to provide a self-activated persulfate oxidation system, which couples chemical oxidation with aerobic and anaerobic bioremediation processes that can last up to one year after application.
In Situ Chemical Reduction
3. EHC® ISCR Reagent
EHC® in situ chemical reduction (ISCR) reagent is the original combination of controlled-release organic carbon and micro-scale zero valent iron (ZVI), stimulating both abiotic and biotic dechlorination mechanisms for the treatment of groundwater and saturated soil impacted by persistent halogenated compounds; including chlorinated solvents, pesticides and organic explosives.
4. EHC® Liquid Reagent
EHC® Liquid Reagent is a combination of ELS™ emulsified lecithin substrate and ferrous iron to provide both abiotic and biotic reduction of halogenated compounds in groundwater in and easy-to-use, cold water soluable, liquid form.
5. Daramend® Reagent
Daramend® anaerobic bioremediation reagent represents a superior biological treatment technology for solid materials impacted by recalcitrant organic compounds. Since the first application in 1996, variations of the technology have been successfully used to treat >10,000,000 tons of soil, sediment and other solid materials.
Aerobic Bioremediation
6. Terramend® Reagent
Terramend® aerobic bioremediation reagent represents a superior biological treatment technology for solid materials impacted by recalcitrant organic compounds, including PAHs and petroleum hydrocarbons.
7. PermeOx® Ultra
PermeOx® Ultra is a specially formulated grade of calcium peroxiden engineered to provide an extended oxygen release and essential nutrients for enhanced aerobic bioremediation.

Metals Treatment
8. MetaFix™ Reagent
MetaFix™ reagents are custom formulated blends of ZVI, other reducing agents, reactive minerals, adsorbents, and pH modifiers. Treatment of soil or groundwater with MetaFix results in formation of iron-bearing heavy metal precipitates. These iron-bearing precipitates have greater stability than the metal hydroxide precipitates formed with traditional alkaline metals treatment approaches. A MetaFix blend is developed based on a site’s specific conditions through a low-cost treatability study.
8. EHC® Metals Reagent
EHC® Metals Reagent is a composite remediation product for immobilization of metals combining controlled-release carbon, micro-scale zero-valent iron (ZVI) and a slow-release source of sulfate.
Enhanced Reductive Dechlorination
9. ELS™ Microemulsion
ELS™ Microemulsion is a lecithin-based substrate of food-grade carbon used for treatment of a wide range of groundwater contaminants by creating reducing conditions and providing enhanced reductive dechlorination reactions.
NAPL Stabilization/Mass Flux Reduction
10. ISGS® Technology
In Situ Geochemical Stabilization (ISGS®) technology utilizes a permanganate-based solution to geochemically stabilize dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPL) in the aquifer.
