INDONESIAN DIVERSITY @AIRLANGGA INDONESIAN DIVERSITY @AIRLANGGA Field trip What we cover WHAT YOU NEED TO COVER Program Benefits Indonesian Diversity @ Airlangga is a two-week program at Universitas Airlangga, where the participant could learn about cultures and diversities of Indonesia. This program will be held on 13th until 25th January 2020. It will be an excellent opportunity to catch up your coursework, meeting professors in informal meetings, and to enjoy the companionship of students from all over the world. If you want to learn and experience more about pluralism, Indonesia is the best place to go. Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands, approximately 255 million people, rich in culture, ethic, religions, and language diversity. The course for this program is “Sociological and Cultural Diversity” which have 3 credits and will take place at both cities Surabaya and Jogjakarta. The participant will learn about Indonesian culture, batik painting, traditional music instrument, and Bahasa Indonesia. One of the places that will be visiting is Kampung Tembi located in Jogjakarta. In Kampung Tembi, the participant will learn about Indonesian culture. The Indonesian government nurtures and promotes its diversity by adopting a pluralist approach. “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” as the motto of Indonesia which means Unity in Diversity that is perpetuated in the national ideology of Indonesia.
