Field Trip

• This is the place were the Blacksmith would work.

• It was better for the Blacksmith to use coal then it was to use wood. Because wood would go out and coal would stay hot.

Our field trip

• On our fieldtrip we were showed a wagon in the museum.

• We were showed a movie that told us about the three trails.

• Pelt was a popular hat that was made out of beaver fur.

• First you put a Whole cob of corn in a tub and you take your hand and hold on to a lever.

• Then spin it around and around until it

comes out into little pieces of grain.

The Stove

• The stove is what kept the room warm.

• This stove is in the family room.

• There is also a stove in the kitchen and in the one roomed school house.

This picture is about when the mother and daughter back in 100 years washed clothes.

• In this picture they give an example of a trading post.

• This is about when people how where traveling to the West to find free land so they can have more space for framing and the husband cloud get 60 acres and a wife can get 60 acres also the trail lead to Organ and a new place

• On the field trip we washed clothes the old way.

• We hung them and then let them dry.

The water bowl

• The water bowl was used for putting water over the winter. It was also used to drink from.

Butter Churn

• A butter churn was something used by Amish people. It was used to make butter. To make butter with a butter churn, you need to apply force in an up and down motion.

Hanging clothes

• This picture is about two girls hanging clothes .
