Please pray for the needs of the sick of our parish, the

homebound, those in nursing homes and those who care

for them, especially: Marlene Baker,

Alfred Boehme, Anton & Catherine

Fahlman, John Fahlman, Fr. Marcel

George, Andrew Helmeczi, Dean

In the first reading, Isaiah urges us in the name of

the Lord to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless,

and clothe the naked. If we do so, he assures us,

the Lord will hear and answer our cries for help

in time of need.

Thinking Faith Podcast! - February 7, 2017

TF21: Thinking Faith Smackdown:

Proselytism Vs. Evangelization! Recent exhortations from Pope Francis against proselytiz-

ing persons and cultures have resulted in what Brett terms

'calumny and slander!' as media outlets make the mistake of

coupling this with the Church's evangelizing mission.

The good news for our listeners? We get to have another

'Smackdown' episode where we pit proselytism and evan-

gelization in a toe-to-toe cage match and see who comes

out on top. It's the Eye of the Tiger baby, and it's right here

on Thinking Faith! http://thinkingfaith.libsyn.com/tf21-thinking-faith-

God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you? William Arthur Ward
