BISHOP'S FUND IN-PEW WEEKEND During the Diocesan Synod process, building

vibrant parishes, evangelization and improving communication were priorities identified by

Catholics from throughout the state. This work already has begun in a diocesan-wide program

called the “Discipleship Maker Program," directed by the Catholic Leadership Institute, a

national organization that helps Dioceses and parishes institute policies and programs to

foster Christian discipleship within parishes.

The Bishop’s Annual Appeal supports this initiative along with many other vital ministries and

services that impact our 69 parishes, 118 churches and 14 schools.

Please consider making a gift during the In-Pew Phase this weekend.

Making a gift early reduces mailing and overall costs. You also may make a gift online on the

new easier-to-use giving platform: verontcatholic.org/giveonline

Beautifying Our Cemeteries

We are asking for your help to cleanup St. Mary's Cemetery and St. Louis Cemetery as trees need trimming and cutting as well as fertilizing and seeding of the grounds. We ask for your prayerful consideration of a monetary donation to help beautify our cemeteries; every gift — whatever the size — makes a difference. Envelopes are available in the church. Thank you to those who have already contributed. We are looking for Hosta and Sedum plants to put around the Cross at St. Louis. You may leave your plants by the Cross or call Maurice Parah at 868-2758/782-1725.
