A virus infects the soft tissue of the body.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 3/26
The virus starts to infect the other cells in the tissue causing them to mutate.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 4/26
These cells begin to transform into a similar virus to the original alien invader.

Once transformed they are then free to infect other cells
on there mission of destruction.

These converted viruses travel through the blood infecting other healthy cells.

Sooner or later one of the virus drones ventures into the Lymph Node,
where the B Cells live.

The B Cells begin to buzz around the virus as they search for the perfect fit.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 9/26
As the virus ventures further into the Lymph Node it stumbles on different B Cells.
Each B Cell tries to attach itself to the virus. Within every Lymph node there are billions
of B Cells, and one that fits the invading virus perfectly.

Until finally one B Cell attaches itself to the virus.

8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 12/26
The B Cell then begins to download vital information from the virus.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 13/26
The B Cell drags the virus deep within the lymph Node, and with the information
Downloaded from the virus, the B Cell begins to multiply identical cells of itself.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 14/26
The B Cell then breaks itself off from the virus,
but leaves an antibody attached to it.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 15/26
Then the identical cells use the downloaded information to produce more antibodies.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 16/26
Then even more antibodies.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 17/26
More and more antibodies continue to be produced.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 18/26
Until billions of antibodies are ready to meet the invading viruses head-on.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 19/26
The antibodies swarm out of the lymph node to seek out the alien viruses
and attach Themselves to the intruders.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 20/26
They travel through the blood to complete their duties,
making there way to the infected tissue.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 21/26
Once the antibodies have attached themselves to all the viruses, the bodies
secret weapon comes into play, the Macrophage.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 22/26
TheMacrophage looks for the antibodies attached to the virus then devours both
Antibody and virus.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 23/26
As long as the virus has the antibodies still attached the Macrophage
will hunt them all down and destroy them.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 24/26
TheMacrophage follows the trail of viruses back to the infected tissue devouring all
virus cells on the way.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 25/26
TheMacrophage devour the rest of the viruses cleaning the tissue of the infection.
Meanwhile allowing the good cells to reproduce.
8/7/2019 Fighting Antibody Story-board1
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/fighting-antibody-story-board1 26/26
Now that the virus is gone the cells in the tissue are able to reproduce to full health,
and with the Macrophage and the antibodies ready for a fight, that virus will not be
giving the body any real problems again.
