Speakers Chetna Kaura - Chief Programme Executive, National Foundation for CSR, IICA As a Chief Programme Executive of the National Foundation for CSR, Chetna is responsible for the thematic areas of

assessment and evaluation; advocacy and dissemination; documentation and research and the ‘Cloud’ which focuses on creating a database of replicable, scalable, high quality CSR projects and providing a platform for enabling and facilitating effective partnerships for their delivery. Additionally, she is a senior consultant for institutional partnerships and international cooperation for the institute and a senior member of the project implementation teams of the IICA-GIZ Business Responsibility (BR) Initiative and the EU Switch Asia Project – Scaling Up Sustainable Development of MSME Clusters in India.

Satyam Darmora - Lead-Family Economic Stability, The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation Satyam manages the Family Economic Stability portfolio of the foundation. The key initiatives under this program include enabling microfinance start-ups, community development and social performance, and catalyzing skill training and livelihoods sectors in urban India. The program includes a portfolio of more than 25 microfinance and skill training institutions. Prior to joining the foundation, Satyam worked with American Express, managing new products and portfolio risk in various international markets including Japan, Hong Kong and Germany.

Soumitro Chakraborty, Chief Executive, Innovative Financial Advisors

An ex-aviator by profession and an aviation enthusiast still at the core Soumitro Chakraborty has in the last 8 years extensively worked in strategizing and implementing CSR initiatives across India for various national and multinational corporations with a clear and discrete understanding of the issues on ground and the requirement of the elements of enterprise and sustainability in solutions to address those issues. As a Chief Executive Officer of Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. he has been able to put a team of more than 100 research professionals who are fully involved in simplifying and strategizing the complexities in the Corporate Social Responsibility arena and give a

very fresh and a rational outlook to the whole new cultural shift. Unmesh Brahme - Country Director, Room To Read

Unmesh Brahme is a Yale World Fellow and Country Director of Room to Read India, an organization dedicated to promoting and enabling education through programs focused on literacy and gender equality in education. Unmesh is also co-founder of Climate Civics Institute, a community-centric initiative in climate adaptation and policy innovation and Sustainability CXO Partners Worldwide. He serves on the board of Global Business School Network, International Society of Sustainability Professionals and Sustain Asia, and is a member of the Renewable Energy and International Law Network at Yale. He also serves on the editorial board of Anthem New Energy Finance at the

Anthem Press, an independent publishing house with presence in UK, US and India. Brig (Retd) Rajiv Williams, Corporate Head-CSR, Jindal Stainless Ltd

Brigadier Rajiv Williams, YSM took premature retirement form the Indian Army in 2005 and has since been engaged in CSR. As a member of the Governing Council of the Global Compact Network, Brig Williams is championing the initiative ‘The India CEO Forum on Business and Human Rights’. He is a regular speaker / panelist at various forums at ‘The United Nations’, GBI, Wilton Park - UK, Indian Industry Associations, Ministry of Corporate Affairs etc.

Dr. K.K. Upadhyay – CSR Head, FICCI Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence Dr K. K. Upadhyay, has over three decades of experience in government, voluntary and private sector. A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability expert, trained by CBI- Netherlands and an Environmental Management Systems Auditor (IRCA, UK certified), he is on board of several expert groups and high level committees of the government, UN agencies and autonomous bodies.

Vivek Prakash – GM, CSR, Jubilant Life Sciences

In his current role at Jubilant, Vivek spearheads the operations of ‘Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’, the foundation that conceptualizes and implements CSR for the group companies. Over the past few years, Jubilant has taken a lead and has endeavored in addressing the underlying causes for the quality gap that exists in education and even in promoting talent of a social entrepreneur. Vivek’s background allows him to extend his expertise to CII Northern Council in the capacity of a co-Chairman of CII’s CSR Committee and into the mentor committee of CIIE (Centre for Innovation

Incubation and Entrepreneurship) promoted by IIM Ahmedabad.

Avinash Kumar - Director Policy, Research and Campaigns, Oxfam India Avinash was a Charles Wallace post-doctoral Fellow at School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. Among his various assignments - he has taught at a central university, worked at a research institute and has worked with Oxfam in India for the past seven years on a range of themes (including communalism and right to basic services) and positions. He also dabbles in cultural politics of cinema and literature as his favourite pastime.

Lalita Sachdeva - Fundraising Specialist, UNICEF

Lalita has been working with the development sector for over 15 years. During these years partnerships with the private sector have been the core role she has managed. Lalita has been with UNICEF for over 4 years, where she manages in-country fundraising and partnerships. With the passing of the Right to Education act in India Lalita was involved in a study on CSR expenditure in education, which was disseminated in partnership with CII and in an online campaign to promote public action and awareness on the issue. Dr. Neelam Gupta - Founder President and CEO of AROH Foundation

Dr. Neelam Gupta is the Founder President and CEO of AROH Foundation, a national level NGO providing education and livelihood opportunities to thousands of marginalized and deprived people across several states of India. She has won several awards and accolades, both individually and for the Foundation, for her contribution to the society. She has also had several publications in the field of Education. She is also the recipient of Indira Gandhi Seva Ratna Puraskar by AIESAC for achievements in social sector.

Sanjeeva kr. Jha - Programme Leader, GMRV Foundation

Sanjeev has worked with various National and International organizations in many states of India and Nepal. Presently, as the Program Leader, heading the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation- CSR Arm of GMR Group he was instrumental in building “Centre for Empowerment & Livelihood” an innovative model for livelihood for the school and college drop outs in Delhi and build community development projects at various GMR Hydro Projects locations in India and Nepal.

Sonia Shrivastava - Head CSR-South Asia, Intel

Sonia Shrivastava heads CSR for South Asia at Intel. Prior to joining Intel, she headed CSR at Moser Baer and ABB. She was instrumental in the formulation of the South Asian Forum for Responsible Business and has co-authored a book on Corporate Foundations in India. Under her leadership, Intel’s employee volunteering program has grown significantly with over 50% of employees regularly volunteering their time in the community. Her recent inputs include spearheading a study on the impact of ICT on the National Action Plan for Climate Change as well as driving the development of energy efficiency standards for computers in the country.

Chitra Ravi - Founder & CEO, EZ Vidya

Chitra pioneered the concept and practice of Multiple Intelligences (MI) in urban and rural Indian schools since 2002. Her partnership with over 700 schools across 11 states of India share EZ Vidya’s Mission to “Let the Child Blossom” and its ‘in-house Teaching/Learning Approaches’ that has benefitted more than 2,50,000 students. In November 2009, EZ Vidya was offered India’s first ‘Professional Development Affiliate’ status by The Partnership for 21

Arizona, USA. Chitra was selected to represent India and present a paper on ‘Making teachers think

before they attempt to create a thinking classroom’ in ‘A culture of thinking’ conference held at Melbourne.

Abhishek Kumar – Creating Shared Value, Samsung India Abhishek has over 17 years of experience in Development Sector particularly in Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance. He has vast experience of external affairs and development Sectors, Cause Marketing, Bottom of Pyramid (BOP) Market, Funding Strategy from Individual, Funding Agencies and Corporate. He has headed CSR of Honda Cars India, Amity, A2Z Group as well as worked with different NGOs like CFD, Actionaid, Nidan , DNR Foundation etc. Currently he is looking after CSR of Samsung India.

Dr. Anjlee Prakash - Chairperson Learning Links Foundation

Dr. Anjlee Prakash, has spent over two decades shaping India’s learnscape. The Learning Link Foundation has, to date, impacted over 1.5 million teachers across all parts of the country. Apart from playing a key role in education; Dr. Prakash has greatly contributed to furthering entrepreneurship and collaboration among women. She has been nominated as a member of the National Cooperative Committee for Empowerment of Women and has helped formulate strategies to solve socio economic issues facing women.

Pooja Gianchandani - Group Head – Policy, Communication and Business Development at IL&FS Education & Technology Services (IL&FS Education)

Pooja’s role entails collaborating with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions in education, skills, health, e-inclusion leveraging the strengths of partners aimed at inclusive growth. Prior to IL&FS, she was the Director & Head for Skills Development at FICCI. She also completed the in-country set up of the Indian subsidiary of UK's largest skills and training company, Action for Employment. Pooja was awarded the ‘Power 30 under 30' title in Business Category from Apex Society, USA in 2012 for her leadership in promoting skills development in India.

Pari Jhaveri - Senior Advisor, Centre for Civil Society Pari Jhaveri is a parallel entrepreneur who founded a global talent management, firm Third Sector Partners, CSR and sustainability advisory SustainabilityCXO Partners Worldwide and Good Deed Leaders, a global thought leader counsel initiative. She has demonstrated consistent business and social impact, innovation across her career including her work with Ogilvy, where she co-founded the business approach to creating the country's first brand social responsibility practice. At Third Sector Partners, Pari established Katalyst, a social responsibility program that empowers girls from underprivileged backgrounds to fulfill their goals of higher education, skills development, economic

empowerment and self-reliancePari is currently working on initiatives to create multi stakeholder collaboration on Right to Education and Livelihoods. Amongst her many accolades are the PR Week Asia Pacific Award, Asian Brand Marketing Effectiveness Award, Best Woman Entrepreneur Award by Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Edelweiss Social Innovation Awards. Pari is a Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University with training and graduate degrees in economics, psychology and social work.

Partners in Change Established as a not-for-profit organization in 1995, Partners in Change (PiC) has been pioneering the understanding and practice of corporate responsibility issues in India, whilst simultaneously promoting cross-sector partnerships as a tool to overcome complex development challenges. We have been Drafting Committee member for the ‘National Voluntary Guidelines (NVGs) on Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Businesses’ under Ministry of Corporate Affairs. We were a Steering Committee member for the Planning Commission report on the Voluntary Sector for the Eleventh Five Year Plan. We have been instrumental in designing the Workplace Code of Conduct with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) – GoI. PiC has been working on sustainable supply chain of coffee, cotton, tea and paper. PiC’s expertise in organic cotton value chain led to the establishment of Chetna Organic Producer Company.

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has been established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India to act as a think-tank and capacity building and service delivery institute to support the growth of the corporate sector in India through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach. Hon’ble Minister of Corporate Affairs is the ex-officio President of IICA. Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs is the ex-officio Chairperson of the Board of Governors. The state-of-the-art campus of IICA is located at IMT Manesar in the National Capital Region, which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh in April 2012. IICA has been mandated to offer capacity building and advisory solutions to government, statutory authorities, corporate sector, etc. IICA offers its services and advisory solutions through its schools and centres focussing on various aspects of the domain of corporate affairs such as corporate finance, competition law, corporate law, corporate social responsibility, SMEs, etc.
