Series 27/00 dry barrel ire hydrant is primarilydesigned or rost areas, where the water main is

located below ground rost zone.

The series 27/00 dry barrel hydrant has two drain outlets located

just above the water main level. The main valve disc is designed

with the purpose o lushing the drain channels or soil and

other impurities during opening. These impurities could lead to

damage o the main valve disk. Ater turning the operation key 2

to 3 times the drain will stop lushing and the barrel will be illed

with water, which will low directly into the hoses and pumper

hose or whatever is connected. Furthermore when the hydrant is

closed ater service the barrel will drain the water through the

drain holes in the base. Thereore it is important to make sure

that the base is surrounded by gravel allowing the hydrant to

drain and lush without washing o the soil. I not, this could

result in undermining o the pavement.

Series 24 wet barrel ire hydrant is designed or

non rost areas.

The series 24 wet barrel hydrant is designed with the shut-

o device directly at the outlow nozzle or hose or pumper

connection. This means that the hydrant is constantly illed with

water and thus under pressure.

The hydrant is mounted directly on the water main, giving ull

water pressure instantaniously when needed.

Only ater 1/8 turns on the stem the water starts to low, and

ater 12 turns the ull low capacity can be held against the ire.

The hydrant is not or use where the temperature may come

below 0C, due to the risk o rost bursting.

In order to service and maintain the hydrant, we

recommend installing an isolating gate valve on the

upstream side.

The series 84/60 monitor hydrant is particularly made or

ire ighting in the chemical and petro-chemical industry, or

reineries, tank arms, and airports where large quantities o

explosive, lammable liquids are handled and thereby constitute

a risk.

The hydrant is supplied with two 2 1/2 hose nozzles and one

4 pumper nozzle. The nozzles are supplied with

the patented Easy-open system that makes

an easy and ast opening o the

nozzle possible - even at high

pressure.

Horizontally the hydrant turns 360

continuously variable, and vertically the

monitor can be adjusted rom 45 to 70

- also continuously variable.

The Monitors HH365 and HH366 are

both PN 16. They have a capacity o

2000 respectively 3000 litres/hour andare suitable or both water and oam.

The capacity o the spray nozzle is

adjustable rom 1100 to 3000 litres/hour at 8 bar.

Furthermore, the monitor can be supplied with a

sel-priming oam pipe, and the oam blend can be

continuously variable adjusted rom 2-6%.

Maintenance/repair o the hydrant can be made on location.

The well-known ball shut-o principal allows replacement o

the inner parts o the hydrant under ull pressure without using

special tools. In this way, the hydrant does not have to be

isolated rom the ring main. The spindle rod is made o stainless

steel, and the plug is made o polyamide GTW synthetic elastomer.

Post or wall indicators are mounted end to end withthe extension spindel connecting the valve.

It is mounted in places where direct access is

impossible. It could be gate valves mounted on

a water ring main in a actory area, such as oil rei-

neries, chemical plants or airports.

The post indicator indicates i the mating valve is in open or

closed position. According to government regulations it must

be easy or iremen to see i the valve is open or closed, even at

a long distance. The post indicator signs OPEN AND SHUT are

mounted on the target according to clear locations and according

to valve size.

The post indicator valves are used or under-groundinstallation in ire ighting systems. The post

indicator lange is incorporated in the top gland

giving a compact design.

The post indicator indicates the position o the wedge, whether

it is open or closed.

The basic valve construction is, like valves or water supply,

characterized by a ully rubber coated wedge, ull and straight

bore, low torque operation and O-ring stem seals exchangeable

under pressure.

The valves are available with langes, mechanical joints or push-on

joint ends in DN 100-300 (4" - 12").

Series 06/35 - The light weight langed gate valve isvery suitable or use in ire ighting systems as an

isolating gate valve or maintenance purpose.

The pin indicator indicates the wedge position. Micro switches

or remote indication o the wedge in open or closed position

are available as an optional extra.

AVK resilient seated gate valves are designed with

a ully vulcanised rubber wedge - internally and

externally.

With this design no iron parts are exposed to the medium and

the excellent rubber vulcanisation prevents creeping corrosion

underneath the rubber. The rubber is vulcanized onto the wedge

by AVK GUMMI A/S, one o Europe's leading manuacturers o

high technology moulded rubber components.
