Page 3: Film Referencing by Nile Zafar

Key Notes About The Film Poltergeist is a 2015 American supernatural horror film directed by Gil

Kenan. A remake of the 1982 film of the same name. Distributed by one of the ‘big six’ media conglomerate, 20th Century Fox The film grossed over $95 million worldwide. Plot Overview = All seems well for Eric Bowen, wife Amy and their three

children as they move into their new house in the suburbs of Illinois. Soon, youngest daughter Maddy begins talking to an imaginary friend, or so the family thinks. It's not long before their home is haunted by evil forces. The family must come together to rescue their youngest daughter after the apparitions take her captive.

Inspired Elements From The Film Eric and Amy go to dinner with their friends, leaving the three children at home.

As the movie plot progresses and the young girl is trapped by the evil spirits, Griffin, ridden with guilt over leaving Maddy alone in the first place and that its because of her that she is trapped.

However in my movie I will challenge the stereotypical norm that the mother leaves her daughter alone and goes out with her friends.

The young girl’s love with toys. In the movie it is shown that the girl always has a toy in her hand.

James Wan. Produced by subsidiary company New Line Cinema and distributed by parent

company Warner Bros. The film received positive reviews from critics and grossed over $318 million

worldwide from its $20 million budget, making it one of the highest-grossing horror films of all time.

Plot Overview = In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren are summoned to the home of Carolyn and Roger Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. Though the manifestations are relatively benign at first, events soon escalate in horrifying fashion, especially after the Warrens discover the house's macabre history

Inspired Elements From The Film

The doll itself, Annabelle is one of the core element of the film that I have tried to incorporate in my movie.

The demonic spirit lives inside a doll, and attaches to a certain female.

The spirit eventually possesses one of the daughters.
